There have been so many openings lately and I have applied to a bunch with product team referrals but haven't heard from them even once.

(Ex-Unicorn PM with 2.5+ yrs experience applying for PM - 1 / APM -2  roles)

Is Meesho even hiring PMs?

YOE: 3 (2 years with growth startup, 1 year with seed startup)

I have previously applied with referrals and my applications have very high rates of conversion. Has never worked with Meesho.

Hiring for 3 Associate Manager (AM) roles in my span at Meesho.

The problem statements are in the Engagement charter, i.e., what can we do to keep users coming back to the app, discover relevant products, and drive purchase behaviour. 

30% of the role is Strategy (user research to identify problems, analysis to validate) and 70% is Ops (design experiments, measure progress, align stakeholders, deliver impact). 

The ideal candidate has 2 years of B2C start-up experience after UG, ideally in a growth role. 

Location: Bangalore (3 days in office / week)

The hiring process is 3 interviews and an assignment. We're using the assignment to shortlist. 

We're accepting applications till 19th March, shortlisting till 22nd March, and interviewing till end-March.

See that Meesho has hired loads of PMs from ISB (I think because VP Product is an ISB Alum). Any bias towards it? 

Considering ISB PMs come at high cost, the average PM salary would easily be 27-29L.

 Though the company has bragged about amazing work policies - permanent WFH, quaterly meetups, unlimited leaves and so on. But it seems like they are going back on their word by calling people to the office. 

How's the overall team culture? Can someone shed some light?

Quite a lot of employers are posting online claiming to be hiring, but candidates seem to be not getting any response after sending email/DM to that HR who posted. 
  
 I myself have applied to an entry level opening at a very well known and establish vehicles related product company. Literally entry level role with 6 months to 1.5yr YoE (I have 1YoE), yet I've not got any response. And they keep reposting the same opening over and over and over, to the point where I feel they are actually not hiring, but just updating their hiring work quotas as they were lazy AF HRs all through the FY23-24.

here's why you should hire me (im 22, based out of Bangalore, graduating in 3 months) - 

1) worked in 4 startups prior to this, with roles ranging from machine learning to product. I've seen how things work and scale.

2) I am good with code, data, design & everything around them. i also can talk to people, manage stakeholders and shareholders. i have been a part of products being built from scratch.

3) I have always figured out on the job, even if the role you're hiring for is not exactly what i am looking for, i can always figure it out on the job, i always have. please drop a text below if you're hiring, the market is pretty bad.

Hey there everyone, 

I hope you all are having a wonderful day.

I'll get straight to the point, I've been applying for jobs for last 3 months and i haven't got a single call back or interview calls from anywhere, I've applied to 100 of companies, from entry level job to mid senior level job, I've tried every job portal, I've tried getting referrals, hell I've sent 500+ cold emails, I've also tried tailoring my resume for the role.

Now a little bit about myself:


I'm currently working as a product analyst and have 3 YOE. I did my b.tech from tier 1 college and graduated in 2021.
Right after graduation i got a job with a decent package.

So considering my profile and YOE, it shouldn't be this hard tp get a job or even a call back!!

Can anyone tell me what am i doing wrong?, or anyone care to give any tips.

Ps: why the hell are companies asking for 5-6 YOE for an analyst profile??!!!

Speaking to friends etc in the PM roles, I've developed an interest in the role. And would like to give it a fair shot. Just can't seem to figure out how. Any pointers would be really helpful.
