I really hope to understand how most of you make time for exercise (if you do) after a whole day of work, with family, friends and other things to catch up on.

Does hitting the gym after a break-up really help or is it just a fad? How exactly does it help ?

I am a 29 YO single male. I earn decently well for my age. Lately I haven’t been feeling well. As in, life is just passing by and nothing brings me joy anymore - No PS5, No long drives, no movies or shows. 
Weekends are especially lonely. During weekdays, I make sure I go to my office everyday even though it’s hybrid, to avoid feeling lonely. 
I don’t have any female friends to talk about things deeply as most of those friends are now getting married. (you know how is it with us boys. It feels weird to share emotions or talk about life with the same sex somehow). Same for male friends. They are all getting married. 
Somehow, it just feels like I focused too much on my work and didn’t invest time in finding a mate at the right time. 
Now, on weekends, I just lay on my bed like a loser. I was never like this. I had so much drive to work, to explore, etc. But now it all seems pointless. 

Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do?

As a newbie need some serious advice about what things we need to take care if we want to lose 20kgs. Also need some best vegetarian diet preferences. Like I’m so confused in between cardio and muscle building. Like everyone are coming up with random advice like concentrate on muscle and strength the fat will be loss automatically. So guys plz help me

Does anyone own one of these under desk pedal machines? Does it help? Theoretically sounds asweome, I spend long hours at my desk (like any other corporate slave) and if I constantly cycle with this it'd be very beneficial but getting a fitness tracker that reminds me every hour to get up and move was also a good move in theory that didn't quite translate that well into practice

Would appreciate any opinions!

I'm a fitness chaser who can't control what I eat. So I do okay. I want to restart my fitness journey but a bit structured this time. So what's your fitness regime that I can jump into?

Also what's your opinion on fitness tracker? I have my eye on Garmin watches but worried about their support.

 Pretty fit and the last body checkup showed everything is within range 
  
 1) gym 4 days a week. Not messing around here, I’ve been working out with the same trainer for 5 years 
  
 2) 1.5 scoops of protein shake post workout 
  
 3) no meditation/yoga/pranayam because I find it immensely boring  
  
 4) no sugar with tea/coffee. Skip breakfast. 2 rotis and chicken for lunch. 2 rotis dal and chicken for dinner. I’m a south Indian so rice once in a while is a must  
  
 5) full day fast once a month  
  
 Now I have a decent body and super proud of it

Here’s some context. I have been hitting the gym on and off for like a year now. My body weight is 65kgs. I can bench press 60 kgs, can deadlift 120kgs. I can jog 5kms in roughly 30 mins. I am 21 years old. Though I know these are decent numbers from a health perspective, I feel inferior when looking at people lift significantly more on social media. I feel like my body is not at all in a good shape. I see people posting insane transformations in 3 or 6 months, and here I am stagnant with my progress inspite of hitting the gym for a year now. Do anyone of you guys feel the same way? On top of this, when I share my progress with friends who don’t know much about fitness, they ain’t impressed at all. They see influencers lifting insane numbers and consider that too be the norm. 
FYI I don’t take any supplements, hence hitting my protein target has been pretty much not possible most days.

Fitness enthusiasts, what's the most unconventional workout or diet that actually worked for you?

25M. Vegetarian. I was doing just fine wrt to fitness a couple of years ago. Went through a surgery then and had to take bed rest for a month. Covid came into picture after that. Couldn't get back to the same level of fitness at all. 

Now I feel tired all the time. I try working out now, my body pains and I'm finding it extremely difficult to get out of the vicious cycle of eating bad and waking up tired. 

Were any of you in a similar situation? Any suggestions are welcome

How do I get back?

Currently at 125kgs and 26M.

Working in Bangalore. 2 hours goes in travelling (both ways included) and 9 hours in office everyday(Mon-Fri). 

Please share some tips/transformation stories which can help me in loosing weight. My target is to reach 85kgs.
