My girlfriend left me because I make 14LPA...

I met my girlfriend during college, 5 years ago.

We were so much in love. I remember we used to go on dates to picnics, museums and the works. I spent and invested a lot of money and time in this relationship. I feel that my life is purposeless now that she has left me.

Her father is a very high ranking government official. He has gotten marriage proposals from very well endowed political connections. Apparently some ex-CM's son is out in the marriage market looking.

I don't know why but I still thought we would make it. Like, nothing can come between us.

She texted me last night that she was leaving me because I only make 14LPA. My hands are still trembling. I want to go be the best version of myself and simultaneously think that the train tracks are looking comfy to sleep on.

It will take time. Be ready to go through the process. Someone once told me that when a person leaves us it's not exactly the person we are missing but rather the habit of that person that we are longing for. Unlike any other habit it will take time to break. But just think about this if the girl left you only because your salary is low as per her standards then she could have left you at the worst of times and that would actually have been bad. You'll feel worthless for sometime but its the very fact that you should try to change.

I also had faced the same thing last year. MBA batchmates together for 4years. Both family parents met also but her family keeps on giving lame excuses like joint family hai..

I got married this year. Beautifully amazing wife who takes care of me and my parents. We are happily living with our family and I honestly have no regrets.

Jisko karni hoti hai woh karleta hai.. no point to regretting and crying.. if you are a good human then god will definitely gonna do good to you. Maybe it takes some time and kuch papad belne padhe but eventually you’ll not be disappointed.

Never lose your self respect. Respect your parent’s advice and have a deep conversation with your close friends.
