Hi, guys. I just switched to a new role (UX Writing) and its been 14-15 days. I am getting major work FOMO here. Here are two things I am feeling, help me navigate through this? 

1. I am not aligned to a project/account yet. Feeling a bit restless, I feel like reaching out to seniors and teammates and I do. Yet, there’s little clarity on how I will be resourceful to the entire set up. 

2. Brushing up on my skills until formal tasks are allocated to me. However, I learn more on the job, rather than through training. How to make most of the time and resources available?

3. I am not sure if I am overthinking this, but I feel like my role isn’t as well-etched as I first thought it would be.

Just moved from a WFH startup to a Full WFO legacy corporate company.

These corpo people talk so much, too much restrictions to get access or to create a MVP, a lot of unnecessary paperwork/ email loops.

I feel sleepy all day and these people find and make you speak hell lot making me confused and feeling that I have done no work and what will I say about deliverables 🥲.


Side note: renovation going on so not getting any corner + the setting are like this getting it is difficult 😭

Any suggestions or I am over reacting 😄

Rant and Feeling confused

Our organisation is going through a major change, and my manager said that they'll be moving to someone else and all of our team (their reporters) will be temporarily moved under another leader.

2 weeks in, a couple of folks' reporting changed on workday, but no communication from the new manager. I even tried reaching out but no response. 

I asked my previous manager and they said "please wait, they will reach out to you".

It's been 2 weeks since this change and I have gotten no communication. I have followed up. 

Ours is a role where we don't have to give a lot of updates to our manager but I'm honestly scared.

Should I chill and enjoy my manager-free life till they reach out or are my apprehensions correct?

I just joined a new internship (my first offline internship) at a big company and don't know what to do here... I am getting small tasks that I finish in half a day, not getting a big project and then I'm free for the rest of the office hours, don't know if I should ask for work or it would be allotted to me. I know it's silly but is this normal? And what should I do? I need clarity regarding corporate life, lmao!

Recently joined a new company and somehow I’m not able to vibe with people and work. I know it’s too early to say but still something is not matching up.
Any idea how to tackle this situation or should I start looking for a new job which might take 6 months to 1 year we never know.

I recently joined Hashedin by Deloitte in august. Before that I was in Infosys for 1.8 years  , mostly was on bench and very few months on project(2-3), where I did basic work on angular in a legacy project , not learned anything there because of scattered code base and that was worse as of my first project.
I did some preparation , learned concepts of angular and JavaScript theoretically mostly.

Then I switched to Hashedin as SDE 2, now I don’t have much Handson experience, I feel scared and feel anxiety , how I will be able to perform and meet expectation of this position.
Although I am trying to learn more concepts of angular but still not feeling confident.
As an Sde 2 they expect me to work on complex task independently, although I have 1.8 years of experience.

I feel worthless and depressed everyday thinking about it. My head always remain flooded with self doubts and anxiety. Feel sometimes to quit but I have bills to pay. 

How can I survive through this, I am ready to learn and do put efforts. But how will be able to cope up with tasks they threw once I’ll be in a project.
Can anyone give some tips and advice how should I tackle these situations and get better. I’m tired of feeling low and mentally sick all the time.

If you mess up on a client engagement and can't finish a task properly? What happens ? What are the repercussions? I'm a fresher and I don't know what to do anymore ? Is this normal ? It's only been 7 months here , I'm a campus hire and I feel out of my depth? Seniors don't help that much as they're too busy? My anxiety is really high and I don't know really know what to do anymore.
Any tips advice would be helpful?

I want to switch my job because I am underpaid but at the same time I am little bit afraid by thinking What will happen in new organisation, in new team, new manager, new client, I have to prove again myself in front of my new team and my new manager etc..
What should I do?
I am currently working as a Individual Contributor (IC) role with 9 YOE and having good rapo with my team and manager. 
And if I switch to new organisation, there won't be career option for me to go to management role (atleast for initial few years)
Please suggest?

I recently changed my job, 3-4 months back.
It was a hard time finding a good job profile with good offer, after almost a year of searching amd giving interviews i found my current job. Luckily, my interviews were very good and i was offered more than what i had asked.
After joining team, i realized that they are looking to prepare for some regulatory changes and my role was pivotal in that. I kind of got to work and contribute on my own and my manager and his boss liked me. I was getting set but then last week, company announced some changes in top leadership and my manager's boss got a new boss. Now this guy seems little tricky and i don't know what all changes he would bring. As of now he seems to be sure of expanding the team/work that i do (related to regulatory stuff).

Now, these changes has got me a bit nervous. And i am kind a bit afraid about my job and its future. This is causing me stress. Any ideas or thoughts that can help me navigate.

This is killing my confidence day by day. Feels like I'm living weekend to weekend.

I am a Software Engineer with 6 years of work experience. Currently working for a US based startup. Previously I have worked for Amazon and a couple of Indian startups.

My current org is remote and I am working from my hometown. It's super chill in this company and work is only to build CRUD and APIs. I feel too stagnant here, my manager is also super chill and is in retirement mode. I feel this will message my future.

I joined this company so I can work on my start up but haven't been very active there too.

Recently a Google recruiter contacted me for a L4 role and had the recruiter screen and he scheduled the interview for the next month.
Google base monthly salary for L4 is way below my current since it's a US based startup. But with RSUs Google annual CTC his higher.

I am confused whether to continue in my org and focus back on startup or start preparing for Google interview. In the long term I want to start my company. At the same time Google will offer an AI ecosystem and resources that will help my startup.

Please share your views.

I had a very good learning time at Zomato, learnt a lot of things and then moved to an early stage startup

I'm kind of feeling very dissatisfied at work, this time I have a really good idea worth working.

I joined a new company and have built a lot of things ground up here, but am i being too hasty in leaving my job?

Should I be prepared to be jobless for a long time if I ever consider corporate again? Because after my first job, i have mostly just worked for a year at every company.

And along with my notice period it will be 2 months at my current organisation

Hello folks! I come with 4 years of work experience out of which I worked in very small but great agencies for 2 years. In the past 2 years, I’ve been on the growth generalist side but I’ve taken up some great amount of responsibilities. 

- I’ve driven user adoption for a feature from 0 to 1 million 
- I’ve worked with giants like Disney on their product strategy
- I’ve handled budgets of $1 million for a year long campaign and successfully reached the target metrics 
- I’ve also closely worked with the leadership on several new initiatives, acting as a program manager 

I come from a non-tech undergrad background but honestly, I’ve worked on entire product cycle ranging from finding the right solution for different features, identifying third party providers to creating user flows and wireframes.

I’m on the lookout for a new opportunity, already quit my job. Work has gotten rather crazy with so much time out but considerable change in leadership affecting me negatively, having to build credibility every time. I’ve had my manager change 4 times in a year. 

If you know any startups that would be happy to have me, I’d love an intro.

So I graduated from a Tier 1 college (non IIT NIT) in May 2021, majoring in CS, and got a job as a Software Engineer. And then just after a few weeks changed to a more CS based good named company. 

Gonna complete a total 2 years of experience, but not feeling if I want to be in the same profession my entire life (even if I consider becoming an Engineering Manager at some stage, that would easily require me first taking atleast 5 more years as an SWE). Not like I don't like coding etc. but feels like this ain't for me. 

So at this point I'm confused if this is my current job that I am feeling like this and it would get better if I change (there was a false alarm like situation that happened when I started this job, so could be a bias), or go back to school to do an MBA (lately I've been getting attracted to it like a magnet)

Even if I go for an MBA, I would want to try hands on on various specialisations (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Strategy), but will keep a good enough focus on Product, my prior tech knowledge could help me. 

Looking at both options, I've been in a dilemma since a very loooooonnngggg time, unable to decide which one to choose. 

Any people who've been in similar situations, can you please help me out ?

Confused on how to navigate my career. Need Help......

So I'm an intern at this bootstrapped startup which is doing really good (touchwood). Three months into my joining, everything was hunky dory but lately my manager has turned less friendly.

She points out little mistakes, asked me to create reports on things that went wrong, uses aggressive language on common slack channels. I'm really not sure what I've done to **** her off. 

Yes I did make a couple of mistakes here and there but I put in my 100% effort to see them fixed and talk to her nicely and respectfully. I'm lost. I also think if this will hurt my PPO chances :( I want to know if this is okay and me working extra hard will solve this or should i do something else about this?

Confused and unsure about what to do

Currently working in a startup and contributing in data science projects. Learning is good but a lot of time goes down in meetings and discussions and I have to do late night work. Everyday starts to feel like the same and I am not able to get time for extra learning to enhance my knowledge and tech stack.
Also thinking of company change but most of them need 3-4 years exp to the data science team. 😭

I am working in a MNC and currently in a billable project but no work. I am pretty good in programming and development.
With an experience of 7months in total I am confused about should I try to switch to other companies and if yes what should be my plans for it.
Currently as I have 0 work in the project i am working to enhance my technical skills like DSA and frontend technologies.

As my pay is quite less (6.5Lpa ~48k in-hand) I want to increase it to atleast 15Lpa

Recently joined a company.We majorly work in c and c++ . It has been a few months since I joined the company but it feels like I haven't really learnt anything new nor am I contributing majorly in any way . In this time span I have rarely coded and it feels like it is affecting my career deeply, especially being a fresher in this domain.I want to know the possible ways to tackle this situation and what else that you guys recommend.
