My suggestion would be to pick up some side project, and develop it really well. 

Showcase it as your portfolio in the interviews. 

Side project should add more value to whatever your current skill set is

Sometimes I feel that the work I am doing in the office is worthless. It is providing no value to the client nor does it help me. I am able to answer the technical questions of the client which help in their business decisions and I think that's what keeps me employed. But I still feel I am wasting my time and I really don't know what I should do. Does anyone else face a similar issue or is it only with me? Also have someone come out of this and would like to share their experiences.

Entry level business analyst

I have been employed at a service-based company for the past 2.6 years. Recently, I have been assigned to a new project with a different team. However, my manager has been quite demanding and insistent on my physical presence in the office. Additionally, they expect me to participate in video calls for every meeting and ask detailed questions about my work, often focusing on minor details. Unfortunately, the tasks I am currently working on no longer bring me excitement. Moreover, my manager's authoritative behavior is not something I appreciate. I am starting to wonder if I am experiencing burnout, as I have never encountered these issues before. Is this a normal situation, or should I consider seeking a new opportunity? Other than these work-related challenges, everything else seems to be going well.

Recently I joined an NBFC in data analytics and there is no such analysis work here. I'm only publishing MIS reports on a daily basis and nothing else. There is no analysis work, everything they are doing on Excel only.
Since 2 months I'm in a lot of anxiety and stress. There are no interview calls. This year i gave only 1 interview in 5 months, that was on last friday only.
I don't know what to do now, it has become a loop now. Study and apply for the openings while you don't get a single call from anywhere.

feeling like I am literally in the worst phase of my life. Our company is taking ownership of an abroad project and those abroad folks are not supportive or even if they support us then they give little information so that we can't take ownership. so we freshers have to figure out everything, and now even after figuring out, my manager and higher management asks me anything with respect to the product(features, deployment, anything literally- it's a big & complex project) even though I am a fresher and don't even have the proper knowledge and then ask us to explain to them what we know, and it's literally frustrating to explain to every single guy every single time. Because the manager asks to prepare to explain to him and then to the higher manager and then whenever something is there they keep asking again and again to give a presentation or our ideas about it, but they don't even ask abroad folks when they are the one who is doing the work. I just feel like I can't keep up with this and I want to resign. How to say no to the manager for doing a particular work again and again or should I resign because I am feeling very low right now and still after 1 year it looks like I have wasted the time because I got to write code for maybe 5% and 90-95% feels like college presentation. Every time there's something and they ask the same thing 3-4 times, sometimes it would be give the x info or then y info and like this only  and because of that i can't do the real work or work on new features because the Indian manager and higher officials keep giving extra work which they should ask from US folks. What should I do please suggest

I am a student at IITR now, looking for a PM internship. I love checking new products as a user and looking for the things that could make it more interesting. I am really stuck because I cannot find the opportunities. I check every LinkedIn, Glassdoor, well found openings but their turnout even after mailing and messaging HR is not good. I really want to put my skills out there in the corporate world and learn new things from professionals. I have not done any internship before and every company shortlisting seeks for previous internships. What would you suggest for my scenario on getting my very first PM internship?   
I have this time constraint thing for an onsite internship, I just have 2 months for an onsite intern before my college opens up again. Then after, I can definitely work remotely given the opportunity. I always put in all my hard work when a task is assigned to me.   
Please suggest how I should take things forward?
And also, if you may know of any openings for a product management internship.. please let me know.

I’m currently working at a B2B SaaS company as a PM. I have a great interest in analytics but not getting enough exposure here and my role has just got so redundant and more like project manager. 
It’s been really difficult in the last couple of months as growth seem to have stopped and I am really scared about my career. 

Experience - 1 Year
Current Comp - ~17LPA fixed with some Esops 

Should I consider switching to analytics ( I am confident about my skills which will get me something in analytics ) given my current situation or try to get another good role in PM to which the market has been really cruel lately.

I joined Deloitte as intern analyst in 2020 and got converted to analyst in 2021 till now I am working here with overall total 4 years of experience. My l skills are like SQL, Qlik view, Qlik Sense. But before coming to Deloitte I did a certified data scientist certification and related skills but after joining Deloitte no opportunity on this skills only documentation and manual work at applications.
But my current CTC is 5.08 but this year is my promotion year but not sure what is hike and now my current project is full hectic need to login at 9am and logging off at night 12am almost everyday
Can someone please guide me or refer to for the better opportunity please!

Need suggestion or guidance on my query

I work in remote mode full time, occasionally visit the office, once in 3 months. My office is located in a different city from where I live in.

The work I do is challenging and interesting, but I manage to complete my tasks by working for max 4-5 hours a day. Remaining time of the day, I get distracted, not with household duties but by doing research on random stuff. I want start a company, but I have no idea where to start. I consume a lot of information, yet most of the time I spend goes unproductive. By nature, I am very unorganized. 

Most of my friends are busy in their own world and I don’t want to disturb them seeking advice.

Any idea how I can get over this habit to make productive use of my time, while WFH?

Now I am working with my friends startup and do not have many projects in hand I wanted to help him to get more projects so I started working on freelance platforms to get projects. Teammates can guide me to get more projects so that I can help my friends startup to get a  financial fit. Also i am looking for another job because I am not able to learn more with him 😞.

I made a series of bad decisions, and for the last one year, I've been working as a data analyst, on third party payroll, and with 4 LPA package. I have 4 years of experience with gaps. The work is super hectic, and I am mostly working 9 to 11 just because the team is cheap to hire an extra resource and I am doing the work for multiple teams. I have to add that I have anxiety, and I have a difficult time saying no or asking questions. 

I was managing my life with this pay, but recently, I'm finding it a bit tough. I've been applying for different jobs, and i can't even seem to get an interview. I know unlike SDEs, analysts doesn't get paid on the same scale, but 4LPA seem to be a bit low. I don't know what else to add here, so please ask if any specific details are needed.

I need a personal advice from all of you who have started 30's journey with a wife and newly born kid ( 2-3 months old).

I am working with analytics role with a Edtech renowned company for 2 years now. Due to following reason I feel like I to switch :

1. Job insecurity ( lay offs) - (however they don't have any replacement to my role.)
2. Very short sighted leaders.
3. Very low increments even with maximum ratings.
4. Sir & Ma'am like culture.
5. They poke for working from home even with genuine reasons.
6. Strictly time bounded culture. 
7. Less chances for promotion as sometimes I give priority to my personal life.


So I want a suggestion that does it sound good to rejoin to  the analytics consulting roles. Will that make my life easy or this is not the right time looking at the market situation.

Managing a 2 months old baby with work

I recently started a new job. I would like to share some of the experiences I have had with my manager. I am wondering if these are red flags or if I am maybe being paranoid or thinking too much.

It was quite difficult for me to get into this company and this job. The company is quite great and I was quite excited but some of the experiences I have had with my immediate manager have made me a bit apprehensive.
I would like to share them and hear opinions about it.

Here are some things which have happened which I have not liked so far - 

1. I speak to a Senior Engineer one day and next day my manager asks me if anyone asked me to speak to him. 
2. I shared an insight about a new tool which we can use on a deployment pipeline on the overall pod (under my skip manager). My manager immediately called me and started asking my status update and replied 'Discussing 1-1' in the group to prevent anyone getting visibility of the idea. 
3. My manager pings me whenever I go offline and recently he asked me in a passive aggressive way, 'Please monitor your Teams status. It was away for most of today.' I now feel kind of paranoid to never get up as I feel my Teams status is being monitored.

Is my manager too much of a micromanaging red flag ? I started a new job and my manager monitors my Teams online status.

Yes this is straight up micromanagement and insecurity. 
  
 Just stand up to him man. The more of such things you allow him to do, the more courage he will get and more he will fuck your life.  
  
 Just stand your ground for a few times and he'll understand that you are not the guy he can do this to.

With over 10+ years of experience in Product management within the insurance and Fintech sector, I’ve realized that product management is still not understood/defined well as a role. I’m open to all sort of queries.
