Non-IT to IT at the age of 32

At the age of 32 I want to switch career from electrical background to IT. After some research I want to go to SAP basis, or any other ERP. At this age is it right thing to do?? Plz suggest. I have learnt SAP basis from online and is somewhat good at it. But didn't work professional in SAP. Used to practice from rented servers and dumps.

In electrical am earning 40,000 which I think is low and I can't see better future pay than this here. Although the job is stable, pay is very less in this field. Please give suggestions

It is good if you are looking it from a long term point of view. You have to start from low and rise. But usually IT organizations will try to put you down asking what have you been doing for 10 years and we cannot consider you Non-IT experience and blah blah blah.

Please think about your priorities and then decide.
