Okay. This is new!

Hi people of Grapevine. I've been tasked with filling up my office with snacks and drinks so that people don't run out of energy. What are things that you recommend? What's your go to snack/drink at office? Will make my order easy and complete!

Some days ago my manager asked me not to get too involved in informal conversation with a female colleague. According to she, it can affect my appearance and hence my ratings :) The Nazi idiot missed part that Slavery is already abolished in our society and I am free to talk/flirt responsibly with whoever I like, as long as other person won’t mind in any space. Do you guys have this level experience with toxic/dumb managers ?

The US is in its late stage capitalist phase, a ship that's going to sink for the next 50 years. If you're a young person there it doesn't make sense to work as hard as your Grandpa the reward on average isn't as great. India on the other hand is poised to become a great multi-trillion $ economy. Onto something huge. We're talking like 10x growth of the economy here. Start-ups that have made it like Razorpay, Swiggy, PayTM, even Cred, if they survive will be really huge as capital in the country, liquidity and lifestyles go up over the next 50 years. Be the capitalist, take the risks, make bets, work and stack up promotions and money. Don't join an Infosys and work 70 hours there, do it for a start up of any scale you believe is going to make it. Or better yet start your own.

Last week I was walking downstairs near the Chai Sutta spot. I spotted many new faces/interns. We have a cohort of interns right now some of whom will potentially get a PPO. Some were vaping. Some were smoking cigarettes. But fucking hell, I saw an Intern spitting Gutkha on the wall. I am not a very senior employee but I clicked a picture of that intern along with that wall. I talked to a friend of mine who is dealing with these interns and asked him to forward this incident to seniors. Came to know today that the Intern in question will not be given a PPO. Apparently, he has submitted sub-par work throughout the internship along with shoddy behaviour with other interns. Also, came to know that he was also complained about for making regressive remarks about women. I wonder if people like these even deserve to be in corporate india.
