A lot of noise around AI taking coding jobs, which i fear might be real. Like not completely but you get my point. So how should one upskill themselves (especially the average folks, top 1/2% will not be affected in any field imo) for the upcoming shift? Like will data analytics/science or maybe ai/ml engineering jobs be on rise ? Should be start upskilling in those fields or any other suggestions? I would really like to know it from someone who has good experience in the industry or someone with good insight. Thanks

1. Work hard in your job. Don't complain and waste time. We know everyone is replaceable, but work so damn hard that if at all you decide to resign and switch sometime, it should come as a shell shocker to them.  
 Build a program/product/team from scratch, own it end to end so much that they'll never find anyone close to you who can work with the same efficiency. 
 You'll obviously take your learnings and apply them later on in your next job, but 
 You'll also earn the respect of all your colleagues which might be needed in your future corporate journey. 
 2. Don't chase money early on in your career unless you actually**need** it. Focus on building relationships, knowledge, learning to code (it helps) and earning respect of your colleagues wherever you go. 
 3. Don't get into smoking due to peer pressure. AVOID IT.

I have scaled in 70% in SBI. (Avg 635). Bank Nifty is struggling but this is the Risk Reward kind of trade for me.

I just took 1 trade in Small cap space last week GICRE  with Average buy price of 360. I will make a detailed post after it gives me more than 50% return or if i book out.

In my next post i will bust a few myths/misconceptions related to trading and one of them might be holding you back from venturing into this field.

At the end of the post i have given 5 stock e.g. check them out as well.

Why i selected Inox wind for the post not every stock in my small-mid cap portfolio is up over 100%. I wanted to show yall that capturing such a move is totally possible. You need not to have in-depth knowledge of fundamentals like margins, M3 money, Nifty PE, unemployment rate etc or business understanding in depth. With all due respect there is a reason why 99% of economists don't make massive wealth out of the market. Having a knowledge of these things is 1 skill & generating wealth out of the market is a completely different skill. I am trying to master the 2nd one so if you are an average person like me,Read ahead.


It's not like I don't look at these fundamentals data points. You can have 1000 data points but you need just a few actionable ones. There is a thin line between analysis and analysis Paralysis. Most people get stuck in this paralysis. Sometimes i decide how much exposure i need to have depending on the dollar index sometimes depending on what crude oil is doing. But I don't over-complicate it too much. When to look at what data point we will get it with experience. I am still in the learning phase.


Growth lies in small mid cap space and capturing such moves at the right time through just fundamentals is a stretch. That's where technicals come in for me. I can capture such moves.

My current salary is 42LPA. I am from IIT, have 7 years of experience and work in product. Honestly, my value in the market is higher than what I’m being paid but I am very demotivated to optimise for that. When I do see less deserving people minting more money, I feel that I am doing injustice to myself and playing the wrong hand.

More and more though, the thought of earning more money chokes me a bit. I have dreams of building something of my own - that gives me control to build something my way and freedom to live my life as per my terms. But the mindset of “zyada paisa pareshaani hai” doesn’t leave me.

My family also is not dependent on me and whatever is needed from my side, I actively contribute to. I also lack any motivation to focus on my investments and see my money grow. I just have money sitting around in my bank account purely for nothing

I also look at my lifestyle choices from time to time and go into existential debate of why we need the things that we do. This has come to a point where I really do not understand my relationship with money and why we earn and spend it. 

For me at this point, it’s just a show for the world. There’s very little that you need, and really no limit to what you want to show. And I just don’t see a point in it anymore.

I am demotivated to work to earn more money

 I get the trouble you face. When you’ve almost figured out what you like and what you don’t like (that money isn’t thaaat needle moving, I have basic needs) but at the same time, the opportunity cost of relaxing is too high - everybody from your batch will remind you of how far you can go, and the middle class boy in you will find it difficult to stomach letting go of all the money, even though you can make it  
  
 Went through this at one point. I have ultimately sided with money. I cannot sit back and relax. Money will only unlock a lot of foreign travel and good lifestyle for me. But more than that, I am lucky to be in a position that allows me to earn money easier than other people do. So I’ll make it, help extended family and people who cannot earn as easily, because at least in a country like India, it’s almost a responsibility. We’re not fucking Europe. 
  
 I’ll just not kill myself for it as much as I used to :)

a 2025 grad here, wanted to ask how can a non tech guy join FAAMG or start with big fat money?

How can a non tech guy join FAAMG

1. First 6 months, learn things and don’t outperform if you are in operations

2. Make a written SOP of things which you see this organization don’t have

3. Showcase a tool that you know and current organization can also adopt

4. Now performance time - spend extra hours to show you don’t work watching the clock

5. Become close to team members and don’t butter manager (in the end you will get hate from the same team members)

How to become a pro in your team?

10 years of schooling, studying hard during festivals, sacrificing my playtime, my childhood for marks..
2 years of high school - Completely cut-off from the world for a good college.
4 years of hard work for a job for a below average salary!!!

On the other hand:
Some random chai wala earns in lakhs.
Some MLM meme girl, living a luxurious lifestyle.
Insensible people are valued in society.
Even a 12th fail selling beer in his family shop lives a better life.

All the hard work I did is in vain? Whatever I did till this point of time was useless? What's the point of an endless struggle, if my destination has more struggle? Something is really wrong..

I have lost all my motivation 😞

What am I doing wrong?

Would you be happy, satisfied and fulfilled by scamming people with MLM schemes? Would you respect yourself? 
  
 Would you be happy, satisfied and fulfilled by running a tea stall? Would you respect yourself? 
  
 Would you be happy, satisfied and fulfilled by dancing on reels? Would you respect yourself? 
  
 Scamming people is illegal, immoral and unethical. 
 Running a Tea Stall is nothing to be looked down upon. It is honorable hard work, regardless of perceived status. 
  
  
 Dancing on Reels -> gaining followers -> being valued by society is nothing to be looked down upon. Creative pursuits, regardless of platform, are honourable hard work and deserve appreciation and respect. 
  
  
 There are people earning millions of dollars doing OF. It depends on the individual whether they are happy doing it or not. 
 So please don't get demotivated. 
 If you see yourself entertaining people by all means work hard on social media. 
 If you see yourself in the food and beverage industry by all means work hard to get there. 
  
 But if you don't see yourself doing all of that and you see yourself doing what you're doing now or something similar but just earning much better, with a prestigious title tied to your name, and being valued and appreciated more by people, then just accept the fact that you've just begun to climb the mountain. Though it's a long and hard climb, it's worth the view. 
  
 Hard work never goes to waste. Work harder and smarter. You'll get where you want to. But decide where you want to go. Stop looking at people who are not even in the same race as you.  
 It's like cursing your destiny why am I not born at Ambani's place, it's if no use. Think and take action only about controllables and leave rest to God.

What it takes to become a good manager

I am 23M working in a well renowned Fintech startup. Have got what I have dreamed of in college like high ownership, good pay and other similar things. But lately realized that I can't do these things for my majority of life. Although I enjoy my work but still feeling lonely and aimless.

When i was in college i wanted to build my own company/product. Thought of many ideas and tried to build something. None of them worked and it affected my studies so I had to quit just to clear my exams.

After college I took placements in a WITCH like company where I got put into data entry/operations job after clearing difficult coding interviews (kismat kharab?). 
Somehow learnt new technologies on the side and managed to switch to a development role at a lower salary in a startup.

After 3 years Worked hard on DSA and (barely) managed to get a good offer with above average pay. But the company is not stable anymore and may layoff at any time. 
Right now struggling to learn enough DSA to crack any company.
Now I am almost 30, i have no hobbies,no talents, no relationships just trying to have a stable career.

I see people everywhere doing so many things at once. How do they manage to do this.
They are working at FAANG and managing businesses at the same time, have a bunch of friends.
What am I doing wrong?
