There is only one way to find this out for certain….to go there and experience it yourself….there are chances that even in a bad market u end up with a good role and vice versa…..no definite answer… 
  
 However, only prefer Europe due to lax visa norms…..the no. Of folks going to US are just insane and their economy is gonna bloat up for few years now

Should I go for MBA in top 10 b schools india like IIMs, XLRI, SPJAIN, etc

So a little background about myself. 

I graduated in 2023 from a tier college and managed to get an off-campus job in an investment bank as an SDE. 

My current salary is 24LPA.

Would it be beneficial for me to do MBA from the above mentioned colleges

Like would the placements there be better than what I have currently? 

Also if I can save enough money in 2 years would a MBA in US in a top 20 uni be better than MBA in IIM? 

I will be going for further studies sometime in 2025 or 2026.

My main goal is to improve my salary and build a network. 

I have also managed my own dev agency and did freelance projects in the past 4 years. 

If anybody has gone through the same please let me know your experience. 

This also applies to MTech/MS as well

My question is - will consulting/IB placements at b-schools be hit next year? Given ISB is a 1yr course, I’ll be in the job market in Sept-Oct 2023.

The hiring has been over optimised, the batch of 2024 and the summer intern batch, count of new hires should go back to 2019 levels

How is the promotion scene looking like? Are you hearing of headcount rationalization in the India offices? 

Folks were expecting natural attrition will help with HC nos, I don't think it has really played out that way

I am a 2024 batch btech Cse , general male candidate from IIIT( 10 year old).

Class 12th - 97% (ISC)
Class 10th - 96.4% (ICSE)
Btech Cgpa - 9.415 (till 6th sem)

I am thinking of giving CAT next year but in dilemma that should I go for work experience or not . As iims do prefer people having work experience. 

And what percentile should I aim for getting admission in old IIMs.

Specifically a question to all the t1 tech clg grads (mainly software engineers) earning 1l+ pm out of clg with a lot of scope for growth. Post mba avg salary is 1.5l per month. 

I can understand ppl desperate for a career change and non tech ppl who are underpaid and don't really have ab option but it baffles me why well paid folks would shell out 30lakhs kr take the burden of loan just to learn how to appear smarter than you actually are instead of investing it for a meagre salary increase that can be achieved by job switches.

I'd love to  hear any insights about ppl who've already been in the space. Why u did, salary PRE post sector etc

Why the heck do people do an MBA?

I can share, I was working abroad post my T1 engineering. So you can imagine it must be > 1L.  
  
 Like all those confused 20+ engineers, I asked one of my skip levels that how should one plan the career path. He gave me a simple framework, “Look at your boss or bosses boss. If you are ok living that life, you’re on the right path else time to think more”.  
  
 I got my answers, maybe try finding yours rather than seeking majority “votes” :)

I am moving from a mass Indian IT firm - have 8 years of experience in IT Sales, etc - to a non profit- focussed on Entrepreneurship & Incubation in rural India for Research Manager. They have been granted funds from the likes of Tata, Gates, Premji foundation, etc.
i have another offer from a German Automaker for a Partnerships Manager 

I am optimising for a profile to apply to MBA schools in the US. What will be a better choice - focussing only on B-schools. Money isnt a concern-the German major obviously pays better.

Tldr: Have two job offers - one from non profit and another from a German Major. Which will be better to build a profile for a MBA in US.

Quick context: I have 4 years of workex in the field of digital marketing and my age is 25. Package is in the range of 12-15 LPA (without esops). Currently working with a reputed unicorn startup. I have scheduled my GMAT in next few months but going by my prep I don't think I'll get the cutoff off for ISB. 
Is it gonna be the end of the world or should I continue preparing even if I'm going to a B school at the age of 27/28 ?
