You have tons of courses and certificates on anything now. Do something first. Then look for any bootcamps for that. Most easy thing is to find something internally in the org for the new skillset

Hello All..I have been a consultant for the last 9+ years working on the same industry tool. Recently the tool got migrated and all our IT experience has become meaningless . Having a difficult time looking for projects and not getting any calls. I am absolutely fine with reskilling/upskilling and I even started learning and acquiring the certifications.The problem  is that we need to have some hands-on experience in the new technologies along with certifications and then only we can get any project.

I am working for a WITCH Company for past 2 years . They aren’t giving any project just asking for upskilling and complete internal certification. I got into a project (Tech:Azure Databricks) and now the client has reduced the budget and im removed from the project.

Its been 2years in same company started as a fresher. I feel like i need to shift to other company but problem is i didn’t upskilled upto the mark in different domains and for shifting in current domain my company is best in market for using pega.

It has almost been 18 months since I have joined TCS. I was on the bench for a total of 5 months in the beginning, and finally got a project.

I went to the office and my manager told me that it would take few days for document verification and security clearance. I was coming to the office daily but had nothing to do. I was getting anxious since I was just watching Youtube videos for almost a month. I wanted WFH but when I asked they said I had to come to office even if I had no work.

Finally, I got a KT from someone working on the project. I came to realise that I was doing work that even a 9th class student can do. The problem? 5 people were doing this work.

The problem? I was working 30 minutes a day. I had to come early to the office, login using my seniors login creds and do timepass work. I have to send an email to our point of contact at the client side that the work is done at the end of the day.

I have learnt nothing here. I feel that these companies are just too inefficient. I am planning to leave ASAP now. I have learnt nothing and I am scared that I will not find another job because I have the Years of Experience but no skills. This is how IT companies destroy your career. Now I am doing DSA to get into another company.

What is the dark side of working at service based IT companies?

Software Analyst

Hi,
I have almost 8 YOE in software development. I was in my comfort zone and spent 6.5 years in a service based Indian MNC on a legacy project, where I only did what was assigned. I don't think I have good skills in the technology I was working on. 

Then I switched and I wasn't informed but when I got into the new company which did pay me much better, my technology got changed. Now earlier I was working on a very highly used technology, but now I am on a niche technology which is less used and might disappear in say 10 years.

I am worried about the future.
I don't know if I should go back to the technology in which I was working earlier (C#.net), or learn a newer tech like data science or AI and try to start fresh or continue with the one I am working on(a Telecom billing solution).
Can you please suggest to me the path?

I joined cognizant 2022 since then no hands on experience due to client issues. But I have good knowledge in SQL, Python ,Gen AI, Deep Learning, NLP I love to work on AI / ML ,So I learned all this by my own . I am applying in TMP but the managers are just seeing my message and they are not even responding. If they respond also asking for hands-on how can I get hands-on without any opportunity. In the office also I was like going to everyone and asking if there is any vacancy in their project. It's like begging, I don't feel good. I am trying to apply outside but they are asking for 3 years of experience. I don't have any idea in the software field if I knew this all before I could have resigned before 1.5 years.I was waiting for the projects. Now I don't have any hope . Can anyone help me regarding this?

Sadly I got D band, I had resigned but due to personal circumstances I couldn't find an offer and resumed back. However timing was wrong so happened around March end when I rejoined. So being a C3B my salary is now reduced by 20%

I am thinking to take a break and upgrade my skills. I can't study along with job. I am trying to switch but somehow not getting any interview calls for Scrum Master role. Feeling lost.

Hey Guys, I am working in TCS from last 3.7 years and now I am fed up with it.
I want to switch but I don’t know what I am doing here 🙂 I worked for IT support work Endpoint security compliance for 2 years then switched to ISM role for 11 months, no learning and now in the team where all the Physical(ODC) and logical resources(Proxy AD group, VPN access etc) are managed.
I want to move out but don’t know how can I find the job. Currently I am doing Google Data Analyst Certification but don’t know how I will switch, how I will show my experience etc

I want to switch companies but I couldn't find more job openings related to Automation Anywhere. And for other skills they need experienced people. What should I do to switch companies? Hi Friends, I was working for past 2.5 yrs in wipro. I know languages like sql, power bi, python. But after joining wipro they allocated me in c++ skill and also they didn't allocated me in proper technical project until 1st yr. In the second year i went into bench then after 3 mnths HR called me and told if i not got any project LOP will be initiated. So i searched for even non technical opportunity and got one, finally i was working in technical support shift basis. 

Now I want to switch company with my old skills but i not having proper handson in projects. How can I get handson and can crack the interview. And also how I can explain the experience without any work. Please suggest me.
