I installed the latest OS and my laptop is giving me the black screen since. Apple service center is asking for a 2.5k just for diagnosing the issue. Is it okay to go to a local repair shop? Any suggestions? I don’t have Apple Care.

I took my Macbook to Apple Care, quoted 45,000 for servicing the motherboard. 
It sometimes turn on and sometimes off. 
Does anyone know 3rd party providers who maybe able to solve it without quoting such huge prices?

Folks at Apple Care would probably replace the motherboard instead of repairing it.
