This was the job I so badly wanted. It's WFH. The actual work hasn't begun. Training phase is going on. It's not even training. They've sent me some material to read and learn. That's it. I don't know any of my colleagues well. I just hear their voices on teams meet. I feel like quitting already.

Is it normal to feel like quitting your new job within a month?

Last year, I was travelling via the Metro towards Sikanderpur Station on the Yellow Line. As I was about to reach Qutub Minar station and the metro was as usual crowded. I had onboarded at Delhi Haat - INA, so no seat for me.

Suddenly the metro abruptly stopped and someone started screaming. The inertia was so much that people literally lost balance and fell over each other.

I am super confused because it almost felt like we got hit or something. The announcement speaker goes live and the metro driver asks "Haan kya problem hai?"

Then on the same line
Amidst this chaos we heard the announcement speaker. It was the driver. He asked, “Haan kya problem hai?”

Then we all heard some lady say that Ladies Coach mei AC nahi chal rha. Man, I wanted to give that woman a tight slap right across her face.

On the next station the station security was ready and the woman was apprehended.

I realized that day that most people in this country are so dumb that they don't deserve first world amenities and services. Also, dimaag nahi hai zara sa but Confidence ho toh aisa.

What do you think about people who act so entitled on Delhi metro?

What is the best advice you've received from your mentor?

I think I'm losing my mind. I'm a 32-year-old guy in tech, graduated from IIIT Delhi, earning 78L annually, but I feel like I'm fooling everyone, including myself. It's as if I'm constantly waiting for someone to burst into the office and shout, "Hey, fraud! We've finally figured out you're actually useless!"

I know it sounds like I'm humble-bragging, but trust me, I'm not. This feeling is eating me alive.

Seven years ago, I started as a regular software engineer. Somehow, I kept getting promoted. Now I'm leading a team of 15 people, handling critical projects, and sitting in meetings with the higher-ups. But every time I'm in those meetings, I feel like a kid wearing his dad's oversized suit, pretending to be an adult.

I work my ass off - late nights, weekends, you name it. But I always feel like I'm barely keeping my head above water. When my team comes to me with problems, I'm secretly panicking, thinking, "Why are you asking me? I'm as clueless as you!"

The worst part? Everyone around me seems to think I'm some kind of wunderkind. My boss is always praising me in front of others. My team looks up to me. Even my parents are bragging about me to all our relatives. But inside, I'm constantly terrified that I'll make one tiny mistake and everyone will realize I'm a fraud.

I see my college batchmates on LinkedIn, and they all seem so confident and successful. Meanwhile, I'm here, earning more than I ever thought I would, but feeling like I don't deserve any of it.

I can't even enjoy my success. I bought a nice house last year, but instead of feeling proud, I keep thinking, "What if they fire me tomorrow? How will I pay for this?" It's like I'm waiting for everything to come crashing down.

I know it's ridiculous to complain about a high-paying job when so many people are struggling. But this constant fear of being "found out" is driving me insane. I can't even talk to my friends about it because they'll probably think I'm just showing off.

Has anyone else felt like this? How do you deal with feeling like a fraud when everyone thinks you're successful? Is this just part of adult life that no one talks about?

I usually customise the content of the email depending on the Job Description/Company or person I'm sending to. But this is what it generally looks like. How would you rate this based on content, length and appeal to the sender???

Rate/Suggest feedback on the cold email

There is this really beautiful woman that I met in a club. We had a great time and ended up at her place. 
While leaving for my home next day I realised that she might have another man staying at her place. I logically deduced that it might be her brother or boyfriend.
Any way she texted me in about a week that her boyfriend and her are interested in me being the unicorn in their relationship. 🦄
I dont know what that means so I looked it up online and realised what they mean.
What do I even do here? I am really into her and I love her aura but this is scary. I don't want to end up in a situation with multiple people. Especially considering that I am a single woman who is new to this city.

I am a middle class guy working as a senior engineer in one of the product companies. I belong from the north-east, and I am the only child in my family. 

Since covid, I was working in a wfh setup. Recently, my company has ended work from home for everyone, and I am supposed to move to Bangalore very soon or quit. 

I am an active user on all social media groups on Reddit, Fb, etc. For the past couple of months after seeing so much of negative news about Bangalore, Especially the high population, skyrocketing rents, the auto unions, corruption, cut-throat competition, discriminative news, traffic issues, etc. It makes me nervous to be honest. My wfh here was pretty chill, and I had a very limited social circle here, but was satisfied since I could spend most time with my mom and dad. 

Im very afraid now about what should I do next, shall I quit the job and search for wfh, or shall I make my move. I don’t have any acquaintances there, no friends, no idea about what I’ll be doing next, how to start house hunting, or job hunting. At this point I am miserable and overwhelmed to think about all of this. 

Anyone who has gone through all of these, If you can share your 2cents, experiences or thoughts, about how you dealt this phase. It will be really helpful for me at this point in my journey. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻

After the recent RBI mandate to banks and NBFCs against unsecured personal loans, the lenders have pulled back their hands from digital lending. My company has already started facing the impact. Tomorrow onwards we won't be able to disburse any new loans from our platform because the lender is unsure of the road ahead.

Personally, I can't afford to go through another layoff this year :')

The obsession I regret the most in my life is the all or nothing behavior.

Where, 
- I'll apply for a job only after knowing everything there is to know for a role.  This is why I used to see people with half my knowledge applying and getting jobs and moving ahead in life. I used think it's so unfair that they achieve in all aspects of their life and I in none...
- I'll date someone only when I know I am the perfect version that I envision for myself 
- I'll only take photos when I am in my perfect shape. If I don't have 8 abs, I don't deserve photos!
- I'll stop questioning whether I am good enough only when I achieve everything else I am a loser

I just was very cruel to myself for my own imperfections!
This instilled a fear in me that shattered my spirit, self confidence and self worth.  I ended up being afraid to pick anything up. 

If I couldn't stay course in something and for some reason I wasn't able to do something for a day or 2, my perfectionism mindset said, that's it, I am a failure and I thought, nothing can be done now and gave up

This resulted in I procrastinating in things. 
Why to work hard, I am never gonna make it...
I have 100 things to do in life else I am failure but I don't have time to do all that in this lifetime. Perfectionism results in not doing anything!

After meeting people, self introspection and podcasts from people, I realised its okay to mess up, its okay to fall down. I should dust myself off and continue! 
It is so hard now to change yourself after years of disappointment. You need so much positivity and letting go of perfectionism. You need self love and kindness... 

TLDR -
Don't be like an OCD person obsessing over things to go exactly the way they want!
Don't reject yourself due to failures/setbacks. Dust yourself off and move ahead!
It's okay to be imperfect as long as you promise to be consistent!
