Hi Grapeviners

Over the last month or so we announced two massive products that are as big as Grapevine itself:   1. Private Company groups with verification 
2. Salaries on Grapevine 

Thousands of you have since adopted these products, but most importantly, you gave us great feedback and we are working on making these more helpful

Here’s what you can expect from Grapevine in the next few weeks: 

1. Direct Messaging on Grapevine (yes yes, I know at this point everyone seems to be giving up on this xD)
2. V2 Update to Salaries - making it more useful with more data points 
3. Launching verification and company private groups for 100 companies (we will keep doing this where we have enough people)
4. A better feed: We are hoping to show you less of posts you’ve already seen (A common complain with Grapevine)
5. A new approach to communities on Grapevine
6. A feature buff to Polls - making them even more insights rich
7. Better Link type posts - currently links on Grapevine are broken
8. Grapes V2: People will get grapes for creating ‘Chatty posts’ and ‘Deep Polls’ over and above the current definition of Grapes that is just focused on the number of likes you get
9. An Official Grapevine mixer (details soon!)

TL;DR: We are launching our biggest product since Grapevine itself. We’ve worked really really hard on this one.

Salaries is now live as the ‘middle tab’ on the Grapevine app

Why we built this: Getting paid is one of the main reasons why we work, and our goal with Grapevine was always to solve for information asymmetry 

With this we set out to make a product with the following principles at its core: 
1. Make Salary information visual 
2. Focus on freshness
3. Bring out the story behind the data 
4. Help people assess their own salaries v/s global data

Two requests: 
1. Please give us feedback on how we can improve 
2. Please please please share this with your friends, network and followers

 Today, the product works well for software engineers, kinda well for product managers and designers.  
 But as we gather more salary data points - this only gets better and more actionable :)

I see salaries feature on Grapevine from a long time is dead, it doesn't have list of proper roles or companies and not very intuitive in showing details for the mass.
Plus roles in finance, tech, etc and not available and all goes under operations, etc.
Since request to grapevine team to either remove it completely or improvise it to a level of being helpful.

People, please use it and give us feedback. We want to make the best shit we can to help

What’s up with this? I mean, money is an important factor behind applying for a job, so why hide that?
I wish there were regulations regarding that.

I work at a product startup and it's been 1yr and 3 months now. It is my first job. We are an engineering group of 5 including the CTO. After 5 months I joined, we stopped our B2B product and started working on a B2C product which is very promising. But since last 6-7 months we are not getting our salaries and I don't know what to do. It's been hard finding a new job because most of them demand more than 2,3 years of experience.
I would like to work on startups again for the intense learning atmosphere they provide. Can someone help
