Salary Hike after switch

Hi everyone, I was working in Persistent Systems from last 2 years and had a CTC of 5.5 LPA. I got laid off from persistent as I was on bench for 2 months. Now I am about to join TCS with data engineer role. So how much salary hike I could expect? In my previous discussion with HR I asked for 12 LPA but he said that for 2 Yr experience they can't give more than 9 LPA. So should I negotiate on that. The vacancy was for 4+ years experience but as I have cleared the interviews they are ready to go with me. Please guide if you can as it is my first switch. Thanks in advance ☺️

I think for 2 YoE, 9 LPA is pretty good. And since you're laid off I think you should grab this opportunity. And if post joining you're unhappy with the offer, the company or the work culture, you can look for job again while having 1 in hand, which will also boost your chances for a higher compensation.

Or can keep looking for higher compensation job while joining here. Lots of ppl find good opportunities within 1-3 weeks of joining and quit, so not a big deal.

I got 12lpa in kpmg....u just should have negotiated better. From 5.5lpa with 2yrs they can't give more than 9? Should have told the tech skills to the HR(perfect bouncers) Should have told about Market values by saying that you had the expired offer letter for 10lpa (in my case it was in real ) Should have told that you bring client:s trust and confidence

Have they gave any notice period?

No notice period. After resignation max 1 week time will be there or else they ask to apply for 1 month leaves without pay and then LWD will be post one month of resignation.
