A role which I have failed to understand its existence

@RealOldmonk Ideally there is a thin line between Project Manager and a Scrum Master - I have been a Scrum Master for 3 years. But if you don't have an understanding of what is the work getting done or the nitty-gritty details of the engagement, the contribution to this role doesn't add any value.

I get paid 33 Lakhs and I play the role of Scrum master or Team coach .

How much ScrumMaster can earn at max in NCR region?

I have been working for around 5 years. One thing I have noticed the role of Project Manager/Scrum Master being diminished. Product manager create the product by talking to customer/business stakeholders, tech lead does the HLD and provides guidance to fellow engineers for implementing the product. SRE/Devops are all on app uptime and deployment practices. Managers are for handling the human aspect.
Scrum master just looks at Jira and does Scrum ceremonies. That can be handled by self-organizing team.
Maybe I've answered my question(based on what I see); but want to know is there any need for Scrum Master role in the near future in any company?

Wanted to know what do the Tech guys think of a Scrum Master? Did you have a better experience in reference to adoption of agile or was it just another non tech coordinator types role?

Hi all, currently working as a scrum master for 2 years in Capgemini. If I switch, What can be the expected salary with 9 years or experience? I am drawing 18 as fixed 2 as variable. Is it good to wait 2-3years more in the same package as I need to stay in my current company 4-5 years so that I come as reliable to the recruiters. What you all suggest pleas?

When will the undeclared Hire Freeze gonna end? Most companies have been saying they will fix an interview, and ask me dates as well. But the expected meeting email will never come. It's not about rejections, companies filter soley via expected salary in the first step.

In addition to this, companies arent preferring candidates who are ok to relocate as well.

FYI: Ive been looking for APM role for past 2 months. Fine with generalists roles as well. Appreciate with any leads.
