Hi, I am an Android application developer with 10+ years experience and currently serving as a Senior Team Lead in a company.
There are already a huge number of developers in mobile application development.
To stay in job, I was thinking of making career shift to AI or ML by doing trainings into it.
Is this thought process good?

Why do you feel it’s important to switch to another role to maintain job security?
What are your long term objectives?
I would say after a certain years of experience it doesn’t matter what you do but leadership and helping others. But it also depends on the company situation.
You constantly have you reinvent yourself to be valuable to the employers. So find out what your company needs and work towards it. You have substantial experience behind your back.
I joined job in 2013, Android was started in 2008.
Each year people join as mobile app developer.
Comparatively, I am assuming there are less developer as AI and ML is in early stage.
I am thinking about AI and ML as there is high competition benifits moreover it will stay longer.
Now, regarding the leadership roles,
