Slice Interview experience

Recently gave amazon interviews for theirs ads team. My DSA round with LP went good and the lld and hld round also went fine as i was able to come up design in HLD covering metric’s monitoring and fail safe and in LLD i was able to cover p0 and p1 requirements. Got rejection after 4 days and recruiter said HLD and LLD rounds were not upto the mark. Folks i wanted to check where did i made mistake? I checked with interviewer also if he/she is fine with what i was suggesting and they were okay with it

Wondering how much does not knowing DSA and lack of practice of LC hurt your chances of getting hired ? For context I am an sde with 1 yoe from tier 1 college been out of touch with dsa for over 1.5 yrs and I am planning on making my first job switch, I believe I know my job very well and am good at what I do better than most of the people around me but just out of touch with dsa.

Currently working as SDE 1 and looking for SDE-1 opportunities only. Asking what kind of things they ask us in interviews? And how much they dive into them? Like DSA is important. Except that what should I start preparing on? Do companies really ask System design? If yes What they ask lld or hld?

SDE 2 interviews vary quite a lot from company to company and so it confuses me on what to focus on, can senior folks please guide? What should be prior order between these and what are helpful resources you came across: - HLD - LLD - DSA - WEB DEV OR CORE ENGINEERING SKILLS And will my personal projects matter for sde 2 roles?

I feel there is a serious disconnect between what we do in our day to day job vs what's asked in interviews. I like learning new tech but I hate doing interview prep like doing Leetcode, LLD, HLD. I would much rather talk about the work that I am doing, my personal projects, etc during interviews but all high paying jobs like FAANG/big startups will always ask DSA and all during interviews regardless. How should I spend my time in learning new tech vs doing interview prep as I feel the interviews have gotten much harder and it takes a long time to get proficient in DSA, LLD, HLD?

Can someone give some insights on Microsoft SSE interview? Will there be LLD? What's the level of coding problems? Things to be prepared with? This is for performance team.

I have virtual onsite interview coming up for backend engineer role. There are multiple rounds seems like focusing on DSA and LLD and HLD Can anyone tell me what LC level I can expect?
