Can you please tell which is better for health alerts?
Have always been getting news once in a while that the Apple Watch saved the life of the person using it.
For Example the recent one:

I was considering getting one for self and family members but some friends suggested Garmin is better in those aspects too.
Is that correct?
Garmin is good for sports, especially running & cycling.

Garmin is really good. Standalone probably better than Apple Watch - especially if you are into fitness / sports
Really good watch and highest accuracy in the market. If you want to track your fitness and prepare for competitions like marathon, swimming etc then it is for you.
