As a newbie need some serious advice about what things we need to take care if we want to lose 20kgs. Also need some best vegetarian diet preferences. What do you do outside of work? Are there any hobbies you genuinely love and don’t just do to pass the time? Do you have any secondary sources of income?

From what I have seen, most people in corporate lack ambition. They don’t have any passion, nor is there any will to do anything outside of work. While I completely agree there is nothing wrong with it, the sheer low percentage of people who are passionate about their life just astonishes me. Maybe I am expecting a lot and am wrong here. I wanted to know others’ opinions as well. What do you people think can be the reason?

I actually don't want to climb any corporate ladders. I don't care about job titles and don't need any accolades. 
 I just want to have income to fund my lifestyle, not be depressed working with assholes, help other people and be around good humans. That's it.

People of Grapevine, how do you maintain (or try to maintain) a regular workout routine. How often do you workout and what do you do.

Workout Routine

My current employee is offering a gym membership as part of employee benefits (not free, gotta pay some money so its seen as something you've paid for and make use of it, rather than taking it for granted if its kept free).

I've been living a sedentary lifestyle for the past 1.5yrs as I had been under quite a lot of depression rollercoaster and loss of job and endless job hunting.

But I've now decided it's time to bring back my fitness and stay in my best health form and live a healthy lifestyle. I also want to force myself into getting comfortable with living life outside of the comfort zone (atleast for most of the time). And hence, took up this gym membership.

But now, I'm having random fears of what if my body isn't actually in good condition to bear workout ? I have some unknown skin rashes and allergies that appear and disappear randomly. What if there's an underlying issue that I need to take care of ? What if workout might make it worse ? I've also seen people fainting to their last breath after joining gym to get back in shape. (I might be overthinking but these are real concerns though)

Is there any way I can have myself checked and make sure I can go ahead and take this leap of faith ?

I want to start going to the gym, but a part of me is scared.
