Suggest tips to spend a sabbatical.

My wife will be relocating out of India soon and this unfortunately means she would need to resign her current position as a Software Engineer (she has about 4 YoE).

We were discussing next steps (higher education, job search etc) and here are some takeaways:

  • She is open to pursuing a Masters although we both think this is a time + money sink
  • not too keen on programming roles, she likes to be in tech but perhaps use this opportunity to pivot to Product management, Biz analyst or Program management

Considering this sabbatical will last around 6 months, how should we orient towards the other end of the sabbatical and set ourselves up for success?
