Leaving job with having job

I'm feeling really uncertain about my career right now. I don't feel motivated to work here or even search for another job, even though I've started updating my resume. I'm not sure if leaving without having another opportunity lined up is the right move, but I also don't know if I want to continue on the same career path. Lately, I've been questioning everything, and it’s been weighing on me heavily—sometimes I even wonder if I might be dealing with something deeper, like depression. I feel so lost and unsure about what to do.

This happens to many people at different points in time. Completely normal.

All you need to do is to just DREAM every single day. Think of what a great life to you is. Go deeper in your dreams (zoom in) to the finest details. Try to build your imaginations clearly without any blur.

Slowly, you'll backtrack on what exact things you need to DO in life. At that point, BEGIN YOUR ACTIONS. Don't forget or lose track of your dreams, ever.

If these ACTIONS align with your current work, then continue as is. Improve yourself these & get better.

If they don't align, switch to something you want. You're probably a Software Engineer but you might want to make Movies. As long as it aligns with your actions & dreams, just chase them.

You are right. I might take this direction only. Might take a break and go in the direction where i can feel more fulfilled

Explore taking a sabbatical. Job market right now is pretty tricky.

Re look at situation again after 3 months.

Leave the job when you get a fair bit of idea on what you want to do. Till then, endure the uncertainty.

If it is too unbearable and there is financial backing, leave the job, travel a bit, talk to people, apply to opportunities that come your way.
