I had some commitments previously, so didn’t focus on saving. Now that I have completed that, I have started to gain savings to invest. To someone who has not started investing in anything except ppf, can anyone suggest where should I start?

Hello, I am a software engineer with 2 years experience. I want to start investing in stocks, mutual funds or any other areas. I don’t even have a demat account. I'm just out of college and while I wait for application processes to begin for my masters, I've been working a few content writing jobs here and there and have managed to come up with a decent amount Since investing is all the rave, I have been reading a bit about the stock market. Although I have a history trading in crypto and stocks. (loosing 8k at the covid time of bitcoin crash and without any prior knowlege of trading 🥲). Now I want to learn a new skill and distracting myself from the virtual world. So, I thought to give a try on trading again but this time with some knowledge. So, whats best crypto, stocks, Mutual fund, gold, etc?? and don't suggest real state I already invested in it 😉. and whats the best way to learn it? I tried searching some youtube channels but mostly feels like scam marketing some penny stocks for there pump and dump scheme. and whats the best platform to invest? I have an account of upstox with only 1k invested which is now 1.8k 🫣. but don't like upstox much there UI itself looks like a scam to me.

Whenever I read articles on this topic, they give theoretical explanation and pointers. However, they lack practical examples related to the point they're explaining. If you're aware of courses or articles that explain stocks with examples and case studies, please share it. Thanks in advance.
