i am trying to learn cpp. lets help each other out. 
 1. what all libraries and stack should i learn for production cpp code 
 2. any good reference books/videos 
 3. how to structure the code (pkg)

1. C++ does a lot of things so the libraries depend on what kind of projects you are making. For me, I use Oracle's OCCI, boost, chrono, apache arrow and apache thrift. 
  
 2. Yt Resources - Mike shah, cpp nuts & bo qian - mostly related to concurrency and multi threading. 
  
 3. Generally, the implementation or source files are kept in /cpp/src/, header files in /cpp/include. For building and compiling, you can use a Makefile to write down the rules for compiling.

I am a C++ dev with around 2 yoe. I want to switch to a different tech stack as I feel I'm lagging behind and if I don't switch now it'll be too to change my tech stack. But the problem is recruiters are literally saying we can't go ahead with the interviews because the stack doesn't align even though i cleared the coding rounds.
I'm not sure what to do now. Its not my fault that i got stamped to a C++ team straight out of college. Please help me out on how I can follow up with this shit.

Joined a new org 9-10 days ago where I had been interviewed for a developer role in a legacy tech stack. Yesterday in a connect the TL told me I won't be working on the development side of things but rather in the environment/platform side of things, mostly doing configurations with minimal or no coding. The role seems very specific to this org and considering this is on a legacy stack I don't think there's much scope even in learning for me at all. I had two stages of interviews with this org and all of them were for a developer role, something like this did not even come up during interviews or the pre-connects I had with them pre joining. So confused and frustrated, because I had accepted this offer since it's a PBC and moved to North India even when I had a 22% higher offer in a tier 2 based service company in my home town. I have two options now:

1. My team has a great WLB. Stick to the non dev role & use the next 6 months to practice DSA & upskill myself from my current legacy stack to something more commonly used like Java/Node and crack some other PBC. 

2. Immediately start looking outside and interviewing again for a developer role in my current legacy stack, since I am on probation and can leave early and maybe even get a small hike over current CTC.

YOE - 2 

Can anyone please give some inputs or suggestions on what to do? Been interviewing since March and I finally managed to clear one and now this shit is happening.

New org asking to work in a different role

I have 2.5+ YOE on .NET in Accenture as backend developer. But I want to switch to React and Java full stack role. I can fake react experience as I'm decent and confident on the frontend.
But how do I grab a Java backend role, as I don't have any experience in it? 
I don't want to apply for a frontend only role, as I'm genuinely interested in Fullstack.

Please suggest. I'm preparing for interviews right now.

Hi everyone, I'm looking to switch jobs for a better pay as my current CTC is 4.06 LPA which doesn't suffice me at all. Also,  I have got many calls for interviews but out of them only 6 interviews got arranged and in those interviews as well I am unable to ace them at all. I'm trying to apply for a Java Full Stack developer. I need suggestions as to where I should concentrate and how I should prepare myself. In the last few interviews that I gave, the interviewers asked questions about creating small programs and they didn't ask anything about my current and previous projects that I worked on. I need some suggestions as to what I can do here in this case. Also, how much salary can I expect for a switch if I have to answer for an expected salary.

Hello Guys, 
I graduated in 2022 and joined my current company (an Indian MNC) where I currently work as an SDE 2 with total CTC of 17LPA (Base 14). I recently completed 2 years in this company. For the first 6 months I was in training, so I have been in my team since last 1.5 years.
The tech stack we use is C++. So for the last 1.5 years I have just been working on C++. We don't use a lot of libraries and have everything developed in house. Memory management, Threads, Data Structures - all are implemented by various teams and are being used. So while I have worked on C++, a lot of it has been using internal libraries. I have mostly worked on implementing some functionality that uses OS calls (Windows and Linux), and some PoCs.

Since I completed 2 years, I was just thinking of my future and I started getting worried. I regret that I wasted a lot of time and right now I don't know what to do. While I have started doing DSA again ,I am very unclear and confused about how to make a job switch, what skills to learn and how to grow.  I'm feeling very low and hopeless. Any guidance will be very helpful.

I am a 2023 graduate and I have joined the company in 2022 as Software Development Intern. I have completed my internship and working as a full time. The environment of the company is very toxic and there is too much politics (even in getting user stories).
I want to switch company so badly, but i don't know why I am not getting interview calls and revert back from any company.

Looking for switch

I entered the workforce in 2021 and have been working on a not-so-in-demand technology called pl/sql and that too on a niche implementation. I've been trying very hard to shift to other companies to no avail.
If I take up something else to master, to be honest, everybody is asking for professional experience - so is it really worth it?

I have done a couple of projects but nobody's noticing wherever I apply - for example: a few data engineer projects on aws, airflow, kafka, etc. So I thought I should start applying for non tech roles like business analyst, APM, UX, etc with some hackathon experiences and sql work on my job. I learnt figma, balsamiq, etc. made some mockups and HLDs. Did 100s of courses and got certifications - no use.
Then I thought I should get into core programming, so I learnt python (even tried solidity for some time) and did a few projects on python albeit beginner level.
Then I thought since I've got a little bit of exposure in python let's do some data analytics. Did a few projects on power BI and tableau and lots of related courses. 
Out of frustration I told manager that I want to do something else, he was kind enough to refer me into an internal company initiative, but it does nothing unfortunately.
My friends said resign and fake your experience (which I was fearful of) so I put my naukri joining to available immediately and still didn't get a single call. 
Then tried some linkedin optimization stuff. Asked for 100s of referrals in many many companies. Nothing worked out.

So, now I want suggestions from the top tier, creme-de-la-creme of Indian workforce and want to know what do they have to say about it.
