Such a society we live in wheee people are given preferences on their job and titles( company name and college name) etc  ) and in the start up space this is too much.  So founders assume someone from a different experience can’t do the job based on what ? If someone wasn’t given an opportunity for once how can a decision be made ?  They only want fell top schools top companies. Look at the US and learn , seen people with diverse backgrounds been given an opportunity in fields of unknown knowledge and they have been able to achieve and do well. But these start ups here only care for branded names , but boast about diversity etc and anyone with passion please reach out to us if want to shape the future of India) bs) and when you reach out they don’t care to reply .  You are just starting and you can atleast reply . Start ups okay with paying some analyst with good package but can’t pay some one else who ants to work and learn for a lower package .

Just curious, no need to be offended.

I see many people here talking about it. "Indian culture Indian culture" what will happen if it vanishes, don't tell me bs about "other community" or "western tradition will take over".
What will happen if our culture is not here anymore? Also isn't this kind of bs? We won't actually forget who we are, I would still boast about my great grandfather fighting for India during independence to my kids and grandkids.

Even if it vanishes in next 50 years my surname will be same for coming centuries. Even if it vanishes today, my digestive, respiratory systems and other systems would work perfectly normal. I would still remember all my gods and worship them.
So my questions are:

1. What is Indian culture for you?

2. Why is it important for you (no bs reasons like community taking over, or kids should know this, genuine reasons only please)

3. What will happen if it vanishes?

If you haven't thought about it, think deeply. Why? What? And How?

What will actually happen if we lose Indian culture?

I am in shock that the Canadian PM, in the Canadian Parliament no less has alleged that India has eliminated a khalistani on Canadian soil. 
I still remember the days, when the single greatest attack on the soul of the country took place in Mumbai on 26/11, all we could do was establish backchannel diplomacy with the likes of the US to get Pakistan to 'calm down'. Not a single bullet was fired in return in a nation that perceived our weak national security as par for the course, getting the Congress led UPA that presided over this moment of unparalleled humiliation, a thumping verdict in 2009. That was an India where we would lament the lack of credible retaliation options including Covert Ops. It was often stated that IK Gujral rolled back R&AW operations outside the country as an excuse for our lack. Although, no action was taken to initiate the operations again. NONE. But excuses were ready should failures occur again.

That India of my childhood, seems like a distant past. When URI and Balakot happened, we crossed the LoC and launched Spl Ops to impose rising costs upon Pakistani aggression. Khalistani or old thoroughbred battle hardened Islamic Jihad commanders in Pakistan or PoK are being neutralized, further raising costs to threatening Indian interests. 

This is not the India I grew up in. 2004-14, when we ought to have taken off, came a pauper after the initial global liquidity fuelled growth from 04-07. Congress went on a far left loony socialistic binge, with massive amounts of debt given to Crony Industrialist friends leading to an NPA crisis which led to Private investment paralysis, plummeting growth further, and inflation hitting the skies. 

But now, we are poised for a decade or two of rapid, high quality, solid economic growth. All of these factors combine to bolster our Gross National Power like never before. 

We were supposed to be poor, timid and helpless. We pursued sympathy over strength. But I guess, this is no longer the India we knew of.

This is NOT the India I grew up in

This is not the India I grew up, where there was some trust left between religious communities and people were mostly tolerant of each other. Indian cricket team had a Muslim captain, and now an Indian Muslim fastbowler is facing Internet trolls.  
  
 This is not the India I grew up in where hate mongering was not mainstream and was frowned upon.  
  
  
 This is not the India I grew up in. Democratic institutions were fairly independent and there was no Supreme leader worship among the masses.

So the title is vague enough .

Let me give you all some background,

Went on a date a couple weeks back. Before that everything was good ( I assume) and the date was awesome too (that’s also I assume). But just after that somehow things started to cool down. Longer time to get a text back that in turn , made me into a person who’s normally lame , but to a bearable extent to a person who does not sense into anything he says in an attempt to save things.

People say looks don’t matter person has to be courteous funny etc etc but at the end this always happens with me ?! Which in turn leads me to the point of self blame , self pity and all things bad.
And I genuinely assume it’s due to my looks and I’m a good guy (too good to be true they say)

How do I change myself ? I’m tired of this hypocrisy that you have to be nice to be with someone.

Any experiences and help is highly appreciated :-)

Just a random thought, sometime I've observed professional women are hypocrite or not clear what they want:
(Please note these are observation i had sometimes, so I'm not generalizing women. Also, there is societal hypocricy. Please don't bash me. There are cases with men hypocricy also, but I'm just giving my perspective on women hypocricy.  I don'tsupport men hypocricy, that's why i do support my womrn colleagues at work in any difficult situation(if work is late night, stressed situation, or discussikn in a board where all members are straightforward men) and also household work(cleaning, arrangement, shopping. No child right now. (saying because some would try to bash me out).)
At work:
a. They want equal treatment, if due to poor performance, if you yell them in loud voice, they will cite all gender topics from PoSH.
b. If they don't know something, you can't make them do it and you have to learn(if you also don't know) and do it. Also, if you rry to act smart, they will straight away complain.
c. If you don't know, and if they know it, they'll touch your male ego or just provide little information. 
d. For poor performance, women have all sorts of excuses in front of male senior, but a man is never allowed to bring family issues in work in front of female senior.
e. A business decision if a woman has to take, and if it goes wrong, she finds multiple loopholes to divert attention, but if a man business decision fails, there is havoc on man.
At home:
a. They'll cite equality in work, and always want to settle with man with income above then her only.
b. If you've all servants for all households tasks and you take care of house works too, still she'll cite superiority.  And if you try to cite superiority, she will complains to inlaws and then it's again a family discussion.

Not an Anti India or Indian hating post but I work in sales and I’ve discovered that Indians act so entitled as if they’re some high and mighty royals who have transcended from heavens above when interacting with anyone who’s calling them after they themselves requesting for it. 

Half the times these dumb clowns can’t even articulate 2 sentences together in English and struggle to understand what you try and tell them but act like they know it all. 

We’ve got to clean up our act as customers and human beings before we make a bigger mockery of ourselves than what’s already out there. No wonder we’re categorised as the cheap hooligan crowd outside.

Me dumb clown, no string together sentence in English. You selling? Me customer? You want me lick your ass? Me not likely :(
