Learning and growth at utmost priority, don't care much about wlb at least till I am not 30
PS : base is 17 but have a huge amount of loan to repay.

Same as title. These days due to low job security and having faced layoff last year, I always feel the need to continuously do interview prep like DSA, LLD, etc even when I am not actively looking for a job. Plus, due to new technologies coming up, I feel the need to keep upskilling too. If I don't upskill or do interview prep continuously, I feel guilty as if I am wasting time. I feel like at this point, I am just living life to upskill and interview prep. Is there a way to balance all this along with work as it gets very tiring after a while and I feel burnt out?

And I feel I am a dumb guy. The main thing is they have been very well educated, they have a ton of experience, every tiny detail about these people who I work with is so extraordinary and I feel like I am a dumb guy who is not even good with writing an email. Its not that I am not trying to learn, I am trying to extract as much knowledge from them but still it feels like I will never ever be as good as them.

Write about a time you made someone feel very nice. Hopefully it can be a collection of ideas that others can take forward. If somehow a few people do something nice as a result, that would be powerful.

To start with an example: Bought a laptop for my grandfather because he wanted to continue working post 60. Helped him learn Excel, Gmail, Chrome browsing over many days. He really picked it up, and works as a consultant for new companies in the industry he worked all his life.

I travel a lot and meet many people while traveling.
Foreigners as well as Indians. That's the best part.
It helps to learn about foreign culture and also explore my mind while traveling places.

But I have 1 thing in common with Indian girls nowadays.

Most genz Male have saved in 6 to 8 digits at age 29-30 but most girls don't give a damn...they are really living yolo life and doing international trips, buying useless gadgets, mindless shopping bla bla...

Basically, I want to ask-

Is it just male responsibility to think about future plans and have enough cash flow to not get in the debt trap of home car etc or should women also think like this?

PS - Above statement is for most of women and not all, so dunno take it personally.

Hi folks, I’m grossly underpaid and my work output + impact warrants a promotion and a fat hike imo. But being told that this is not possible mid year. What can I do to make it happen? Haven’t had a proper conversation regarding this with manager yet.

Being thankful in every little things brings contentment and self satisfaction! Yes indeed try it out. I have personally experienced it hence sharing the same. 

Here in GV I mostly see posts where people grumble about their salary being insufficient and rto is annoying etc, I really wonder how it was before covid ?! Did we have the WFH in TCS no right. It was clear that WFO was the deal and things were gng normal then. Suddenly the Covid changed the game yet haven't we see people working in banks, hospitals etc work from office only what if they say they don't like working from office. Pause to think!

It makes sense if you are not satisfied with your salary and justifying job role, eventually one can indeed look for elevation. Put your efforts and get that desired job and move on. That's being productive and optimistically. Grumbling is not the solution any day. I am OK if anyone reads this post and criticizes cus again that's not going to affect me. 

We must learnt to appreciate the little things and be Thankful to God for everything. Without this we cannot see any good in anything we receive in life. There will always be a void and that will never get fulfilled without the heart of contentment.

I am 26 now. And started my career in 2018 when i was 21, and from my first day till now I am doing a wfh. Initially it felt good as you get lots of personal time, no travel time and expenses. And then in covid while people where panicking switching to wfh, I was already adapt to it very well. But lately I have now started seeing some negative  impacts of it.
1- Social life is at stake as I went to study outside my home town and almost lost all my connections here.
2- No personal interaction with people on higher position than you as that helps a lot in ones upbringing.
3- Following same life style for years and years.
4- Poor physical health and mental health being in a room for 8 hours of work, 8 hours of sleep and 2-4 hours more depending on other tasks.

Adding to it now i feel it makes more sense having a office job which makes you feel more lively and a part of society.
