Today i saw auto driver harassing a person in bengaluru because he took rapido bike for office
Auto driver was harassing the person because he took rapido bike for his office. When will this stop in bengaluru why auto drivers consider them as don of Bengaluru?

Bike taxis are illegal. The local administration is not doing anything to stop it for ‘unknown’ reasons. Hence, the auto drivers are trying to dissuade bike taxi drivers by themselves. Not trying to justify their behaviour but a clear ban/no ban policy from govt should have ended this issue
I agree but they have no right to harass any person on road who has nothing to do with him.
Imo they shouldn't be banned. It's super convenient and pocket friendly for the general public plus they don't have to deal with the exorbitant prices these auto drivers quote.

This is a rampant problem in Bengaluru.
1. Auto drivers act like gundas(barring a few). The police and administration does nothing. I have seen so many autos coming from the wrong side in peak traffic and the police doing nothing at all.
2. They quote really high prices because of which customers look out for other options. Firstly, the govt should strictly focus on the pricing of auto rickshaws and police should make sure they follow it. The govt should also make a stern decision on movement of bike taxis.
I am really looking forward for more metro lines to open up, which will reduce dependency on autos by commuters.
I never wanted to buy a car, but because of the bullying of autos and cab cancellations, and with the limited public transaport availability, I bought a car to save myself from this hassle.
As an alternative solution, I would request folks to utilise car pooling. I have been doing this since the past 3 years, and have been able to save my daily travel cost.

I do not know why the auto drivers in Bengaluru think they have the right to charge such obnoious rates yet surprised when people look for cheaper alternatives.

I asked the auto guy the same, he told me the meter rate is as good as working for free. But then I told him something is better than nothing, he laughed and told they have plenty of customers who do not use these apps
