This is my first Diwali alone in Bangalore and I want to celebrate it.

If you have the same thought process, let's plan something. Will have to find some spot as well. Somewhere near HSR/Bellandur/Sarjapur works for me but I can travel for some distance.

I am a 2023 graduate and currently working in a product based startup in Indiranagar. When I came to Bangalore a few months ago, it was all fun and exciting. I still love my work (working in multiple tech stacks). But somehow life outside the work has become somewhat boring. I do go on bike ride trips but again can't go every weekend.

I play badminton and cricket sometimes but still feel bored sometimes.

I don't go to clubs as I don't drink and smoke. Would love if you folks can suggest something?

 Poor girl, the guys girlfriend was there and smacked her so hard on the head that she almost fainted. 🥴

I never drink alcohol. So, anytime I go out with my corporate friends. I always listen this argument that you should atleast try once. It’s just for experience. 

I want to know that am I really missing anything? I want to remain pure as long as I can (however I have took some sip due to peer pressure).

 No, you are not missing. I started drinking in college but left after that. There is not much change in my life. Just I have to lie that I don't drink.

Mine was for Gokarna! 😅 It was a quick excursion, I had to travel from Bangalore to Delhi and wanted to get away for a day or two. I was meant to be in Delhi for a family gathering, but I delayed it by 2 days to fly. I just told my parents about the trip. Lol 😉

This was my first time experiencing a beach and totally loved it 🙌

Secret trip?

Especially in a city like Bangalore where you spend 5 days in office 
Clubbing is not an option every weekend, considering how expensive clubs are and how antisocial I am 
What can we do apart from scrolling phone Or binging content indefinitely?

How to have a good weekend

Hey,

Looking for suggestions on where can I go when stepping out over the weekend in Bangalore. 
Teetotler, so no pubs. 
Hoarded a lot of books that are still unread, so no bookstores. 
Been to Cubbon Park and Lalbagh too.
Not watching movies or TV series in a long while, so movie theater is out too.
Not considering long travel (beyond city). 

Any suggestions?

Bangalore: Stepping Out suggestions for a (mostly) homebody

Recently my friends moved to 4 BHK apartment near Domlur. The total rent is coming to 1 Lakh for unfurnished apartment, it has some really good amenities.

All 3 of them have offices nearby, and I work remotely for a US startup. After, furnishing and one time setup, just rent is coming to 32k. I am unsure, whether moving there would be worth it or not for me.

I really enjoy company of my friends, but the rent for me is expensive + 6 months deposit. I can definitely afford to pay that much rent, but not sure whether it’ll be good decision or not because of market conditions and tons of uncertainties. I cannot back out if I say yes.

I am super confused, one side I want to stay with friends and on other side rent and deposit is worrying me.

Is it worth it to pay 32k in rent for a room in bangalore if you work remotely ?

One of the reson for increase in rent especially in Bangalore is these early 20s bachelors earning min 20 to 30LPA, who think when splitted rent into 2 to 3 flatmates it will be less than 30K. They don't know the struggle once they get married and is a single earner in the family.

I’m mostly alone on my birthday, I don’t have any plans as such and I don’t really know what to do. I stay with my parents and I have my dog so there that but any creative ideas to make the day memorable? 

P.S last three years of my birrhday have been really shitty so really want to make this count
