We are in the age of FOMO

I don't understand why this happens the one who joined recently don't have any experience who is junir associate who gets paid more and more and when the senior asks for an hike which is always being judged by the managers who never wanna give hike and show partiality and gender bias and politics like same caste people will be getting hike. when the person who supposed to give hike is never responding to you giving you filthy reason forr a decent hike. What's the point of working there?? * * * * Do anyone relate to this situation?

When I joined my current organisation (4 years back) I held most of the responsibilities, had dependencies, was assigned a lot of strategic and interesting tasks, and very minimal operational tasks. As the team started growing, after around 2 years, the dependencies started distributing. At some point of time certain top strategic projects were taken out of my bucket because i was operationally involved. Soon it became a trend, now i am at a stage where visiblity in front of the leaders is almost nothing. Most of interesting projects are assigned to other teammates. When communicated with my manager and head of department, they just asked me to do any project i like while keeping me neck high in operational tasks. I am taking too much pressure for this because I know i can do more and have very less growth opportunities like this. Really not sure whether i shall blame myself or someone else for this for this. My friends generally suggest me that switch would be the right solution for this situation . If any one of you has been through this, were you change your trajectory back or switched to another organisation?

I've turned 27, roughly 3yoe earning 50k which is low but I'm upskilling. Currently due to layoffs, AI news and just a very unhealthy state of IT things are getting very depressing and I personally feel like I've already lost or missed in life. People are planning to get married around me everything is so sudden. People of grapevine, what advice would you want to give people like me who feel lost. Any general advice such as financial planning, lifestyle changes or just tech advice any advice which has helped you to live peacefully and comfortably would be greatly appreciated.

What happened to free activities like playing morning cricket or enjoying IPL finale with your best friends / family . Bangalore economy is running on fomo

So I’ve been with my firm for almost 8 years now and honestly it’s become more of a second home for me. I honestly want more exposure and experience different office culture but it’s difficult to leave a job that I got through when I was in college. Am I the only one feeling this way? Any suggestions/recommendations appreciated!

I am an average software developer in India from Tier 2 city with average income. Every day I watch a new piece of interesting tech being launched with half of my salary price tag. Today I was watching these Brilliant AI glasses and wanted to see if I can even afford that or not. I don't know what kind of rant I am writing but I am really frustrated of watching things being launched that I cannot purchase. Hell I cannot even purchase a Chat GPT subscription although I earn around 60-70k (I come from a really poor family so 60-70% of my income goes to loans etc)
