What are some dystopian policies at your work place?

Half day salary cut for every 3 days you're late is pretty freakin messed up. Curious to know what other ancient capatilist policies do corporates have in place to exploit all of us?

Damn this is light. This is applicable in my current work0lace too.
In my previous workplace, if we were late more than 45 minutes a month, it was half a day salary per offense. They subtracted literally 1/3 of people's pay for the month in such trumped up shit . Also 100INR fine for not bringing ID card. Watchman used to delay people trying to sign in a minute before the enter deadline because HR had given him some money to do so .

They currently suffer attrition rates greater than 50% with entire product team gone and replaced by 10k/m interns. Lol

@porter, they check your attendance by making sure your laptop is connected to company wifi, thrice a day.

If not then your manager is notified. Let's see what action they take in future!

A friend used to work at Ninjacart, if your manager isn't happy with the work then they will mark you absent for the day (unpaid leave) :/

Employees aren’t allowed to use the office wifi.

Don’t know why but nobody is allowed to use the wifi.

Apart from that the usual you come a minute late your manager calls you and annoys you.

You come 15 mins late the AD acts like a gorilla and starts screaming. Nobody is supposed to fall sick unless they can provide a medical certificate and inform the manager 24 hours prior. Don’t know how that works.

Come on time. Stay post work hours. Get abused publicly. Oh boy what a place to work.

I love it. Great pay, Great perks, Great work and Great colleagues if you chose your team smartly. Freedom to choose your WLB. Very Good WLB would give you equivalently slow career progression, growth and promos.

I know a company where if you'll be late by 15 mins you'll get marked late and half day attendance would be given and they had a time tracking software to track incoming time but no extra credit or anything if you stay late, and this is with permanent WFO in place.
I also know a scenario where the person was asked to show flight tickets for the leaves he took. Seed stage company in Gurgaon. Name: Oyela Stay away.

The HR function in India comes from the legacy of factory management. Called PMIR based largely on the Industrial Disputes act 194x ... They never outgrew it. Also no one envisaged cities becoming travel nightmares

Hi Folks I recently got an offer and the notice period over there is 60 days. In my past companies it was 30 days everywhere. Just wanted to know your opinion.
