What's the minimum expectation you have when you go out to a venue/event?

Got a job offer which is asking me to relocate to bangalore. I’m currently based out of Gurgaon and not familiar with the rent/amenties scene there. What is a good salary range to live a good life there? By good I mean - Living in a decent (subjective ik) society with some basic amenities like gym, park, pool (would love that) etc. - Dining/Partying at least once a month. - Going out to some place atleast once a week - Having a maid for cooking + cleaning Other expenses would remain same across cities (digital products/shopping etc) All pointers appreciated.

Coming 27th will be wife's birthday. Already missed her 1st birthday post marriage(For some unforeseen reason)😑 and still have to hear it from her, from time to time 🤦, because she had planned an excellent one for my birthday. Do people want this / imagine an app wherein you could ask for the club scene (crowd quality), or crowding at a beach or a restaurant few mins before you decide to go, and someone on the ground uploads it for you - we reward the supplier and the requester pays. Extended to beaches, airbnbs, hotels etc

Outside of India. Budget 5-10 lakh . Need not be that high. If it's less but still great that's better as well. Consider atleast couple of week's time.

So many folks are speaking out (or bragging who knows🤷) about their monthly/yearly paychecks. Just curious, for all single folks who are receiving a hefty wad of cash every month: 1. what do your general expenses look like? 2. what do you like to spend it on the most? Here's my monthly breakdown(jab hum employed hua karte the🥲): rent(coliving PG)- 12k transport- avg. 1.5k food- avg 7k gym & stuff- 7k parties- 5k misc- 2k TOTAL- 34.5k out of 80k in-hand Apart from the general expenses, once in a while, I'll indulge in buying a good perfume of around 5-6k. The 2 most costly purchases I made were a new laptop(asus vivobook)- 50k & prs electric guitar & accessories- 82k What about you?

Dear remote workers on Grapevine, have any of you been on a 2-3 month long workation spanning multiple cities? I am planning to go on one and cover south of India - Coorg, Chikmaglur, Gokarna, Hampi, Kochi, Alleppey, Munnar, Wayanad, Pondicherry. Am I being to ambitious? I think I can manage 1-2 weeks or more at most of these places. Will stay in hostels - easier to make friends there + it’s cheap. Any tips?

The number of times I've heard people say shit like 'traveling makes you grow as a person'. Someone please specify what this growth looks like because I've never experienced it. I don't think traveling is life-changing. I think most people have a romanticized, cinema-like idea of traveling that has been exaggerated even more because of social media. It definitely is fun to go on a vacation. But in most cases, that's all it is -- a source of entertainment. Maybe an ice-breaker the next time you go to some pretentious party. Am I missing something?

This should include everything from home bills, entertainment, medical expenses, trips etc. When I was single (back in 2016), my expenses were around 20k per month. Now I easily go above 1L every month (without rent, we live in our own house). My wife also works and she has her expenses too. Not sure what’s the reason for it though. We live frugally and don’t spend lavishly (atleast I don’t think we do). I barely buy anything for myself (I use 1k earphones and buy clothes from decathalon). My wife is the same. Is this common when you get married? That your expenses permanently increase? Or is there something I should be worried about? TIA
