Which Shark Tank companies have gone big and which ones have failed ? Any ideas ?

After Shark Tank, we have seen Indian Angels and StartAb but I believe the actual problem is still not being solved. Tbh, more than 90% of companies shown in these TV shows are more like businesses rather than startups with not so unique MOAT or tech platforms. Moreover, they are about funding businesses that are already revenue generating and negotiating equity deals with half of the show time is all about equity negotiations only. Still there are many with some unique ideas in tech landscape who are in search of Tech Co-founders to build the platform and many couldn't find one resulting in not starting their startup. What are your thoughts on a new show completely for Aspiring Entrepreneurs with unique ideas in tech with no revenue or product most for ones seeking help in building product/tech and stories where even an investment of Rs. 1 lakh can bring a big difference bcz even without that 1 lakh they could have never turned that idea into MVP and start that journey

Any products that you use regularly and saw it first on Shark Tank?

There is so much negativity around startups right now due to the market cycle since 1.5 years and because of a few bad names but I think overall startups have created massive opportunities in terms of wealth creation, up skilling and giving major breaks to people to learn faster. I think this is largely a founder driven issue as they simply want to be cool and startup for the sake of it but I’ve also seen founders that are committed and passionate however is getting difficult to recognize them and find companies actually building a good product that is solving good problem statement AND not get toxic culture. Can people share some examples in the last 5 years of such founders/startups so we can discuss them more and get some positivity on this platform?

Hi all, I graduated from IIT Delhi and have been working at well established startup since. So for a while I have been wondering why we don't have any deep tech startups doing innovation. Don't get me wrong, there are startups doing innovations but not the kind of innovation which we would call industry shattering or taking the level up a notch. Most of these innovations are just integrating what others are doing in an aggregated platform. I again wondered this today when I saw cognition launching Devin the AI software engineer. They have a pretty small yet highly talented team. We in India too have highly intelligent folks educating themselves in CS, why don't we have this mindset (even I don't have this mindset). Is it about the difference in culture or a sense of security that folks in the US have that helps them be free from an economic point of view and try innovative things ?

Let's ignore what's wrong with startups, keep this an optimistic thread. Which startups make you excited about their future? The ones that have cracked product, GTM, model, or something else. Name the best Indian startups :)

Reality showfication is happening for everything - Now startup ecosystem is the one with big investors on board

I have always Wondered why people started praising Ashneer just because he was roasting the entrepreneur's startups? He has a Odd Lot mentality or a reverse physchology to give negative opinions in each and every startup. A Good Business man is the one who can sell anything , Obviously there are a lot of scope of improvement. Few startups which were humiliated by him are literally doing well without any modifications into their products. Simply, he was pretending to be cool by making reverse statements or roasting those startups. Probably the reason why he was sacked out from his startup 😁 Lol

I got into a startup (informal) and invested my savings and also took loan from friends and family. It would take a couple of years to clear up but I am happy thwt I didn't let go.of the opportunity and the learnings also realised the following. 1.I enjoyed the thrill 2.When something has to go wrong,It will 3.My priorities changed (family,health,mental peace) 4.I am enjoying what I have more than ever and not cribbing about what I don't have. I am about to touch 40 and lose all savings(instead loans on the head) but I have never felt so calm ;) Anyone with a similar life altering experience 😉
