Which companies have best timings (9am to 5pm etc) ?

How many of you actually only work 9-5? Do you get paid for overtime? Is Indian corporate culture disconnected from the 40-hour workweek belief?

Which product based companies in Bangalore works on a day shift where you can wrap up by 6-7 pm? Strictly no late evening meetings?

Are there any functional roles (functional consultant, business analyst, or analyst) in the IT sector that require morning shifts, such as 5am-2pm (remote)? I want to switch to a morning schedule so I can have the rest of the afternoon and evening to work on other assignments. If you know of any specific job openings that fit this criteria, please share the links.

Life has 3 currencies - money, time, energy. I'm running short on the last two. I've done enough grinding in my career so far (10+ yrs). Have a family and personal issues to take care of. Whatever limited leisure time i get is spent on unwinding for the sake of my sanity, but beyond that I'm unable to devote time or energy to my family, or on self care, or any of the hundred other non-work priorities. I'm done working 12 hr days and working on weekends as well, with a lurking anxiety of what could go wrong at the office, and how my career is shaping up. I've kinda accepted that i might not hit senior management roles anytime soon, but as long as I'm able to make a good life away from work as well, I'm not really worried about it. However, that's not also happening in the current scheme of things. Hence, need to get into a chill company that affords me time and energy. I understand money might be not as grand. I've heard of American Express being one such place. Any other recommendations?

My manager has been pushing me to reach office by 10 am. i currently reach office at around 11 and leave before 7 pm. What are the usual office timings among tech teams in startups ?

For me 5 - I start by 11 and end by 7 but take an hour lunch break, 4-5 tea/coffee breaks and some gossips - I tracked one day and it was 5.2 hrs. What about you?

So, I joined this company located in Delhi last year from Bangalore as a permanent WFH employee. Initial 6 months were fine, even though I was aware they had pre-installed tracking software called "Teramind" while sending the laptop! But in the last 3 months the work culture or environment has completely flipped and turned into Toxic. First they made us install a remote tracking software called "Hubstaff" which tracks keyboard and mouse activity and time, and takes 4 screenshots every 10 minutes. Then they made it compulsory 8 hours a day excluding any break like lunch or tea. This month they tied work hours with Salary and started deducting the entire day's pay even if you are short by like half an hour! Almost all employees know they need to leave but are kinda stuck due to the current job market situation. I'M thinking of quitting without finding another job now, I'm just mentally tired and frustrated with the situation I find myself in. All my emotional energy is spent, I just don't know what to do😞

I strongly believe if companies reduced work hours to 6-7 hours a day it’ll increase in individual’s moral as well as productivity, what do you guys think? Currently my shift hours is 9 hours a day traveling to and from excluded which leads to 12 hours a day, which gets hectic sometimes.
