Review/Roast/Hire my resume
Hi GVs, I’m looking for new opportunities as a frontend developer, It would be very helpful if you can roast/review/hire my resume so that I can improve further.
Thank you in Advance
Hey folks, In between my serious job hunts, not getting any calls. I seriously wanted to get my resume reviewed. Plz have a look into my resume and pour your honest comments
Open for roasting! Thanks
Few things
Please Take them positively, just want betterment of u.
Summary looks like chatgpt generated, I would not look further, you gotta make your skills shine on top, I would keep skills, experience and then education at last. Keep the summary succinct and sweet, make it actually look like you are passionate about something.
I started working on IBM’s ui design system, learnt so much and got confident about design systems, my summary is simple “I make design systems Better”. Find something similar.
Sure..Will include these changes
It doesn’t matter if you are starting out, but if you got experience like 2 or more, you gotta write something to stand out more, if your summary is an exaggerated version of your role, its not gonna work, you have to offer something different so that recruiter will find it intriguing and start reading ur resume.
Text heavy
Almost no Headlines
Nothing about your personal life
Your achievements are so much yet not listed in a sequence
Sorry bro just honest opinion
Headline?
Is it required to include personal life?
Thanks for the inputs. I am looking out for such suggestions only!
@HMan1208 why one should include anything about their personal life. I don't think recruiters are interested in anything personal like hobbies, languages etc. In college freshers normally write abt personal life to fill resume.
I got job in Paytm as engineer even with resume ATS score of 25. Below 20 it gets rejected. Check your resume score if it's 80+ your resume will get shortlisted most of the times. Rest is skills, business requirement, notice period etc
what was ur first ctc and current ctc? be very honest and what was ur branch in b.tech?
I am in the same company..Not yet switched(not much of a CTC change) B.tech I did in instrumentation which was non-CS so I didn't include it in CV.
ok, Its not the problem of your branch. Branch doesnt male any difference. There are 6 lacs + B. Tech CS including BCA/MCA graduting every year in India and only 2-3 thousands have the real CS skills rest all are in rat race and taking the branch because of hype, parents/social pressure, show off or our of greed for money but they end of working for service and support roles where no technical skills required and suffer lifetine... Understand what is ur strength and learn/enhance skills in that area even if you have to change the domain or technology. You are just at the begininng of ur career.
The font is Not looking very good , Try Arial with text size 12 Bold for heading and 11 for text below the heading. Spacing can be 1.15 with before, and after spacing being 6 pt and 4 pt respectively. If you like can use some good Dark blue colour shade for heading and bullet points. Skills might need refining.
I have a format , I personally feel it’s good , I made it in word , if you need I can share.
