As someone who does not carry checked in luggage, I am always trying to get home/destination in a hurry. In international flights the added trauma of waiting in line at immigration makes me want to leave the flight as soon as possible. Honestly, it has proven life saver at times. Also the claustrophobic atmosphere doesn’t help

But there are people before you who are also getting down. If you are in window seat, you would atleast wait till your co-passengers moves.

It feels so stupid calling Bangalore a Tier 1 city, bhai Paani nahi hai airport jaane me flight ka aadha kharcha lag jata time ke saath. Why am I even paying tax.

I’m a very private person and I was a bit confused whether I should write here or not, but anyway.

So, day before yesterday I was sitting on my chair after dinner and was thinking about my life and what the hell am I doing.

I realised that,
Saala bachpan se aaj tak race me hi bhaag raha hun. Pehle school me 1st, 2nd, 3rd aane ki race me. Then acche college milne ki race me. Then uske baad acchi job milne ki race me. Then uske baad agar ladki chahiye toh uske liye bhi ek race hai (Don’t have a gf, plz don’t take me wrong, it was a realisation)

My current daily routine is like this:
Wakeup everyday, write code, go gym, dinner, and then sleep and repeat this cycle everyday.

School ke dost peeche chhoot gaye, college ke dost apni life me busy ho gaye, colleagues se main zyada baat nhi karta and main akela padh gaya.

Feels like life is not intriguing anymore, it has no spark left. Its so painful to live everyday.

I feel like I don’t want to live any more, I want to die but I can’t cuz of 2 reasons.
1. I’m the only son of my parents.
2. If I die like this, then I won’t be able to come out from the birth cycle.

1. What kind of investor are you? 
I am an opportunity investor, and I do buy good stocks whenever they are in reasonable valuations. Below are my monthly numbers. 

2. Where’s the majority of your investment portfolio ?
I have three RE investments and one of them has loan. And I’m planning to buy a property in Goa or HP. 

3. What’s your monthly investment breakdown?

1.7L/ Month (approx) 

60k - SIP (mutual funds)
60k - stocks (smallcase, us stocks using vested) 
30k - as opportunity fund, this is transferred to a different bank account 
10-20k - for experimental investments in crypto, nfts, and some trading. This is a new segment and I don’t have much experience in this and that’s why starting small here. 

4. Anything else you want to share? 

I am learning to invest on a daily basis. Reading, videos and podcasts are my sources. Some of my tops picks are Whiteboard finance (Marko), My first Million and Smart Passive Income, finance with Saran, and Akshat Shrivastava.

Have been analyzing the Broader US markets for the last couple of weeks.

Efficient Market Hypothesis seems to suggest that the prices of financial instruments reflect all available market information. Hence, investors cannot have an meaningful edge by analysing the stocks and adopting different market timing strategies.

The VIX expresses the inherent volatility of the market and is a real time index that derives expected volatility in the index by averaging the weighted prices of out of the money put and call options. The value of the VIX increases when the markets are falling, this also indicates an increase in the expectation of upcoming volatility and the investor’s fear in the markets. Also to be noted that the index value cools off when the markets respond positively and advance. The volatility declines and investor fear declines.

However, there have always existed market inefficiencies that can be exploited to make money and I'm just wondering if anyone has done something similar? 

My current modelling seems to suggest that there is some minor alpha that is available when you trade on VIX data. It is just had to gauge the directionality of the movement. Usually, a net 5% movement in 2 trading days is significant enough to take a position.
