The VC folks now are some fancy degree grads, who wants to do a 'job'. And they fill in their near and dear around them, with more job oriented folks 💁🏻♂️
And now, they just talk about how much they 'raise' from original sources and show off. Nothing else!

The requirement to follow / invest alongside is unfortunately very high. A lot of folks can’t seem to build their own conviction. If that’s the case, they shouldn’t raise a fund at all and instead give those funds to the VCs that help them build conviction. That would be acting like a real fiduciary.
