Rant on Swiggy wlb

I work with Swiggy and as many of you already know the culture has become extremely toxic in Swiggy. Expectations of working 12-16 hours per day, be available on weekends, play dirty politics, blame other to save yourself , get really really aggressive, all of this with a constant fear of losing your job. The leaders are saying this culture change is required to achieve high growth targets for IPO. They say a culture like this is required to raise the bar & keep people on their toes. But looking at Byjus it appears that this may help in the short run but eventually things fall apart. Employees are human resources not machines. But these toxic leaders don’t really care, as there is always some people available to replace the previous lot who left due to the toxicity. I really hope the leadership of companies like Swiggy open their eyes & realise this before it’s too late for their business. And people who are considering to join Swiggy. BEWARE. This isn’t the place it used to be. People have left within 1-2 months because of this culture. And nearly EVERYONE is looking out to switch.

Hola people! Today I am gonna tell what is happening in Swiggy since last couple of months. This is a everyday story in Swiggy’s private feed on this app. So thought to enlighten others as well. Sit back, grab a coffee and enjoy the rant of a frustrated employee. For everyone’s understanding, work culture in Swiggy has gone for a toss. Employees are working day and night to meet the never ending and unexpected goals set by our leaders. All because of the next year planned IPO. Many talented folks have left the company and many are in the process. New CTO is trash and super aggressive. Empathy died a million times the moment he became the CTO. The only goal which the company has now is to deliver FAST! Nothing else matters. This is for literally every org! Micromanagement has significantly increased and you are expected to provide update for every damn thing! Employee motivation level is literal 0 and no one gives a f**k about anything. Some people are put in PIP and there is no chance of coming back from there. Cost cutting is being done on whatever means possible to achieve profitability. Number of outages in the last few months have significantly increased and most of the employees are working in the weekends to complete their assigned tasks. People are just surviving and will leave the moment any opportunity knocks at the door. Its sad to see a company who was once known for its work culture is now struggling on almost every front. 💔

anyone here working at Swiggy-Bengaluru how's the work culture and work-life balance in general?

I think the current phase in my life is the lowest I am already PIPed by swiggy and I have broken up with my gf. Feeling like my life has reached the end. Can't sleep at all specially after the break up. Now I regret for blocking her atleast I should have waited until getting into some company. But now I don't want to go to her due to some personal reasons. It feel sucks. I am not able to focus on interview preparation. I am not in depression but my mental health is shit right now and gets headache daily. Please help me shall I consult some doctor for this or is this okay. I don't have much friends that's why I am asking here I genuinely need help

1. They are the most overpaid people in India. 2. They have no work life balance and they don't even know what it means. 3. They think they are the best at everything, but they can't do anything right. 4. They are always complaining about their job and how much they hate it. 5. They are never satisfied with their salary or benefits package. 6. They are always looking for new jobs because they think they deserve better than what they currently have. Would you like to add anything else here?

There was a time swiggy was known for good leadership. Where are all those good people? I see PIP, depression, harassment, layoff posts from Swiggy off late. What’s is going on?

Which companies have a decent work life balance and decent pay

Lets use this space to describe our managers- Mine is so toxic, Has a very sad life though he is married and has one year old baby, jealous to next level,No boundaries! My manager is the most stupidest person I have ever come across in my life. Good managers are leaders on whom you can fall back to when you fuck up! Mine is so toxic that he only wants to take credit of best things done in the organization and everything otherwise he would just put on me. Keep on assigning tasks at odd hours, will msg why is this not done that not done! He has even tried silent treatment with me, as if that would work 😂 I mean he would try to show me that he is so pissed off with me because I choose not to attend his calls in off office hours, or maybe when i choose not to respond to his bullshit. Keeps getting deep into the arses of management. Would be first one to attend any parties and also the last one to leave the vicinity. Sometimes I feel so pissed off when I see people like him not been held responsible for a toxic culture at the workplace and how simply they just get away in a day by putting everythibg else on others. Being on a leadership designation, he is still so much insecure that he would leave no stone unturned to keep me out of the meetings where any achievements or good stuff is being discussed 🤦🏼‍♀️
