How to handle general situations where car gets hit by auto driver , do auto drivers pay for the damage or how's it , has anyone come across such situation and how they handled it
If you don’t know Kannada & alone, better to move out. Learning Kannada is always advantageous.

Also if you have cams, then rather fighting with them, you can move on and show the recording as proof for insurance or any complaints.
Don't even need recording, just claim your car was parked and someone bumped and ran away. I did this when I had to claim insurance when someone had hit my car from behind.
Isme kya hi handle Karneka hai. Gaadi hai, thuk gayi. Insurance claim karo. 1000-2000 ka deductible hoga for less than 5 year old car, isse zyada kharcha police wale lejate hain.
