I don’t think AI will replace tech roles. AI will become a powerful tool for techies who are wise enough to learn and upskill. Mugging up from data structures and the quirks of JavaScript won’t be necessary, but the core concepts like design, architecture, troubleshooting etc. will be skills that engineers will need to have.
That’s just how I see it 🙂

Ai will not replace jobs, people using ai tools will lead to less work.

So use AI tools to not lose your job.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in your field. AI itself is a rapidly evolving field, and staying informed will help you adapt to new tools and methodologies.

Develop Soft Skills: While AI can handle many technical tasks, soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking are difficult for machines to replicate. Focus on developing these skills to remain valuable in the workplace.

Specialize: Consider specializing in a niche area where your expertise is highly valuable. Specialized knowledge can be more difficult for AI to replicate, and businesses often seek specialists for specific projects.

Adaptability: Cultivate a mindset of adaptability. The ability to quickly learn and apply new skills is crucial as technology evolves. Be open to change and embrace new challenges.

Collaboration with AI: Learn how to work alongside AI systems. Understanding how to leverage AI tools to enhance your work can make you more efficient and effective in your job.

Upskilling and Reskilling: Invest in continuous education, training, and certifications. This may involve acquiring new skills or deepening your existing ones to align with emerging technologies.

Embrace Automation: Instead of fearing automation, learn to embrace it. Focus on automating routine and repetitive tasks to free up time for more complex and strategic work.
