Am I the problem?

I switched from my previous job to my current company last year. However, since I have joined, I feel I haven’t been able to deliver what my seniors expected. And I have two major reasons:

  1. Tech here is very lazy, they would modify the user stories and timelines as per their convenience
  2. I can’t really resonate with company’s vision, I feel they live in their own world and far away from reality.

Some of my major features have been stuck with tech for months but I don’t want to push them to deliver it because even if they do, it’ll fail in the market. I also feel embarrassed giving walkthroughs to tech because the features that I am asked to work on are mindless and mostly comes from senior management.

Should I switch job or hustle more in the current company?

Building features that Sr Management wants is the best thing a PM can do.

Keep them updated on how Engg is delivering on those. They'll have no complaints.

Amateur PMs worry about customer feedback, droving outcomes, deliver functionality that improved customer stickiness / experience. Legendary PMs just do what the Sr Management wants.
