Have you seen brand marketing spends shrink? And will brand marketing eventually be dead?

1. What separates a good brand/marketer that gets promoted from one who gets laid off. (other than >marketing ROI).

2. Why are insurance offers intentionally complicated? And then agents sell. Wouldn't it be more efficient to automate this with easy information?

3. Why do telecom companies spend big chunks on advertising instead of enhancing network strength in weak pockets? (Assuming the geo data doesn't show low customers for an area)

You’ve seen marketing evolve from billboards to extremely targeted and timed advertising, where do you think the industry is headed next? The privacy push is certainly affecting the landscape.
