Analytics career growth and what to do next !!!

Hi All! So I am a 4+ year experienced guy, with 2 year experience as software dev and 2 year as a data scientist currently in BFSI industry. I am earning a decent salary here and I have got the opportunity to work on various ML models in my team. But I am confused should I go to pursue master’s degree in analytics from abroad, is it worth it ? Or since all the technical resources and courses are available online, is it better to increase my technical acumen using it. Even in analytics what should i expect in coming years? Is it wise to be an individual contributor going forward or better to become a manager .

I also see lot of folks going for MBA or Masters program , should I go for an MBA? In my opinion I don’t have a clear answer as to what I want to do after MBA and doesn’t want to get into the grind of preparing for CAT. But the FOMO is real, people regard careers such as MBB consultants, PE/VC as the most sought after careers, but I don’t see myself going in that line, screwing up my work life balance and affecting my health.
