Anna Sebastian's Parents talked to Rahul Gandhi and her mother's words stucked in my mind

So recently i was seeing a video where Rahul Gandhi was talking to parents of a young employee from EY who recently passed Away. Het mother said that students work so hard to reach at the top only for being treated like slaves in the end and why work culture in our country is so different from others that made me question everything that why they aren't prioritize the mental health and work life balance. Yesterday I was talking to one of my friends, Who is in USA working in tech and said that the working hours are sometimes go 10-11 hrs but that's in very rare cases and atleast Managers here are not POS like in India in 90% cases who demand to clock 11-12 hrs daily.

My Father always says to me that - India is growing, Companies are shifting their bases to India , why are you looking to go to USA when India is future. I said to him that I know India is the future, it's a developing economy, companies are heavily investing but there is one major reason that we are largely populated in the world and it's really hard to get cheap labours here who can be easily exploited as India is already producing 45-46 lakhs CS graduates every year for ex, way more than USA and other countries so even if you are asking for the 20 lpa , there are already a lot in the queue who are ready to do same job in 12-14 lpa though market is bad , it will improve by the time I'll graduate or even if doesn't then i look for other options in EU .

Guys I understood one thing very clearly there is no other reason except family and loved ones that will stop you moving from here

Actually politicians must indulge in these critical issues, to bring about a policy centric changes, so this is a good thing. All politicians should raise this issue. Issues like this and Agnipath scheme, need to be highlighted by politicians and are rightly focussed upon.

Our US counterparts can make do with working 10-11 hrs a day and that too only during critical deadlines because they have outsourcing cost centers in India who make up for their work with longer hours and lesser compensation. That is why they are increasingly complaining about their jobs moving out to developing countries like India, China, Philipines, etc. bcs management will never put up with more costs at lesser utilisation if they have options.

Exactly , and i don't what should I call it, one of the pros because many jobs are getting outsource to India or a cons that is making many to work at lower wages due to large population

India is growing is just pure copium. A lie people tell themselves every night before going to sleep.

Where do you see in india in next 10 years given that we are already the most populous country in the world, India has limited land and has to accomodate a lot of people in next 10 - 15 years and personally I think the competition here is no longer healthier and I may be wrong as well

India should ban the companies that are illegally making staff work more than 48 hours a week

Companies are exploiting employees too much. That is true,Employees are helpless due to lack of opportunity or financial liabilities . This heavy work load results in frustration, over time without pay,Burnout and mental/health illness. Govt. should strengthen labour and policy. Specially minimum wages, notice period and Layoff policy.I know corporate lobby are very strong ,They control politicians,if anyone goes to govt. or courts,Corporates spend money to defeat them.

Is the Indian job scene this bad?

I'm based out of the USA and keen to move back to India. Everyday I get 2-3 reach outs for jobs based out of the USA but hardly any for jobs based out of India. I have set my preferred location as India, but no luck.
