I am interviewing at AppsforBharat. Is there anyone who is working there or used to and can shed some light on the work culture and financial situation of the company?
Joined AppsForBharat last year. They do monthly reporting calls for the internal team, pretty much how they do it for their investors. As part of that call, I learnt that the company is now at 3M ARR, as of December 2023. Btw, the revenue lines have a freaking gross margin of 70%.
The founder keeps on telling that they are building it unlike any other company in Social/media space and hence not chasing DAU or MAU, but value they can generate from that MAU. Average revenue per Monthly Active User per month is roughly 7 Rs. Which grew from 2 Rs as of Q1 of 2023.
Are you still working there ? How is it going now ?
I heard they raised a new round recently.
As per the last update, it's in the last stage, they are about to close. I am 2 year old in the system.
It's a great team to build with, they provide high quality ownership and the drive internally is amazing. Small team hai to you can't take a Cred like approach where there are too many people for every small thing. But it's good!
Overall a good firm, they're trying to monetise, a good product. Founder is super amazing.

Any company which operates in ABCD would hardly fail. Astrotalk is killing it
Be careful of any startups in devotion.
Most are basic DAU farms
