Are your owners kicking you out for rised prices?

๐Ÿ˜… Owner increased the rent by 15k to meet the market. They expect bachelor's to pay up or exit. 55k is the new price for 3bhk in a 15 year old society. When will the bubble burst? Is everyone making 40-50 lakhs?

This unrealistic rent expectation is created by 2 class of people mostly - bachelors pooling up and sharing the 50-60k rent as individually they still pay15-20k and power couples earning upwards of 2-3 LPA with 2 jobs. This ainโ€™t normalising any soon. Only fully functional wide coverage metro network can break this loop.

Bottom line- Better plan and sort for your childrenโ€™s post work housing scenario if you plan on settling here. Apna rehne de behen !

If metro reaches everywhere, doesn't that mean that area will be called a good metro connected area which leads to more increase in rents? ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ

That happens when the metro plan is declared, not when it becomes operational

55 for a 3? Damn, in my old society they're charging that for a 2 bedroom matchbox!

Maintenance is 5k in addition to that

Lemme guess, Prestige/Brigade in Whitefield?

Come on. Stop living in the IT corridor of Bangalore.

Rent in classic bangalore are barely 15-20k even for 2bhk dude.

I don't face much problem with traffic. I either leave by 7- 7 30 AM and start back by 3-30ish or start at 1 PM and return at 10 PM ish... I barely see 1 hr traffic one way.

You can either think out of box or die following herd mentality in the IT corridor cluster fck!

Why don't we form a union for tenant's, a central union for the entire country or states or cities.

SillyJellybean

And what exactly are we planning to do with this union ..demand is always going to be strong in major cities Mumbai Bangalore etc.
The only solution is for the government to develop infrastructure in other cities and make them suitable for investment and encourage companies to set up base in tier 2 cities as well. Pune can be considered as an example but rents are steadily rising in Pune too because of more and more companies moving to Pune. Unless that is done prices will keep rising because someone or other will be there to pay those crazy rents.

We need to develop 30-40 new cities across the country. Indore, surat, Nagpur, Vishakapatnam,Jaipur. Govt in those states should give incentives to offices to be setup there

Take the L move on. Owners are getting greedy. Folks are paying out of desperation.

SnoozyHamster

That's on the cheaper end especially for society. I've heard places with rents going upto 75 and 80k

Our owner has agreed to not raise rent this year. We rented last year oct @45k including maintenance for a semi furnished 3bhk in Bellandur.

Reportedly, the decision was taken because we were apparently "good bachelors" and the owner was worried that new bachelors might cause troubles. ๐Ÿซก
