UK or India
I'm an SDET 3 with 9yrs of experience and working in London for the last 3 years. I've got an opportunity to change my employer which is offering a £72k package. Also, I have an offer of 28L in Bangalore city and I'm sure I can get at least a bit more than this (around 32-33L) I have a wife and a small kid and wife is also having a job here in London. Has anyone gone through the same and can suggest

UK 72k is better.
28L for SDET3 seems quite low ball offer in terms of Base Pay! Even 33L is less. That's a range which is paid to SDE2 in general.

Depends on which company. Good companies are paying 40+

Have lived in London for studies and currently working in BLR. IMO, maybe consider UK as a better option - children’s education & network that s(he) will build+ living standards. Money wise you may be equal but if there’s any other reason beyond this than maybe consider living in UK.

28L for SDET is too leas. Easily should be around 45-50
I feel 72k pounds is too low for a family in UK if you are staying in metropolitan areas.
What should be an ideal household income for London (maybe for a family of 4)? I would like to know this to set up my goals if it's the UK.
I haven’t lived in UK, so can’t comment about details. However I have quite a few friends and family members who are making more. Few of them are bachelors even. Of course different people have different lifestyles. From what I understand, a couple living in London can cost you 3.5-4K per month including rent for a decent/good lifestyle. I guess there’s income tax that needs to be considered as well.
Depends on what both of you will be earning combined. London is expensive af, and even more for a small child
