You need to learn to enjoy the life as it comes. Anything that makes you loose health or peace of mind is not worth it. Invest in friends they are your family outside Love someone and make them yours

Generally speaking, family goes through variety of stuff on daily basis. As you stay away from them and depends on how frequently you speak with them, you will come to know brief or few important incidents/experiences/issues in from their life. Eventually, both parties will be disconnected as not much participation or involvement in daily stuff as it's not relevant anymore.

So I suggest, keep talking to them, involve (or just listen) in their small stupid issues/stuff in daily life. (though it's irrelevant) E.g today main came late today so mom's routine was impacted and story around it.
