Do you drive it? What do you like and dislike about it?
My dad has it. It's good with features for a 6.3 lacs on road price. Car is compact, gives close to 16.5 milage, has good power for hills and highways, touches 130+ effortlessly. It's actually a Alto who went to gym and had good diet in teenage.
don't buy a budget car. Not worth it. if you are buying out of your own savings. Then dont buy any car. Just not worth the headache. I have had two. and am saying this out of experience. The running cost is enough to cover your travel expenses. Within city travel, you will start hating driving after a couple of months.
I see. That's a different perspective. Isn't maintaining budget cars supposed to be less intensive?
By Maintenance, i don't mean just the regular service. But all the things. Starting from cleaning the vehicle to service center visits to any insurance claims etc... Unlike two wheelers, cars don't come with the "fill it, shut it forget it" character.
A mix of performance and practical ones if you are ready to buy pre owned cars
High performance but higher maintenance and service
2017 Polo 2017 ecosport 2016 skoda rapid
Relatively new i20/i10 2017 celerio amt Tiago 2016 Amaze
Buying a new car with the budget wont get you a feature loaded car
I'm not against buying pre-owned ones but would prefer to explore new ones first. Feature richness is not a high priority for me.
Cars costs have skyrocketed.. automatic top end wagon r costs 9L in Bangalore on road.
Within 6.5L bracket, what remains are the likes of Qwid, Alto, wagonr regular, spresso
Preowned Honda Jazz AT. Nothing better. Spacious interiors, Bulletproof engine and reasonable maintenance costs.
Don't buy a Tata, shit build quality and will rust and rattle in 12 months. Suzukis do the same 24 months.
And what will one do with a bulletproof engine? Also Suzuki may have shitty crash rating but no rust or rattle even after 5+ years
Haha, sounds like you've had a horrible experience with Tata.
Thanks for the recommendations! Pre-owned cars are a bit lower on my priority as of now
if open to used cars get a vento TSI, it's addictive to drive, pulls harder than cars costing 2x the price. Have kept up likes of cretas or even 3er, goes cleanly till 150kph, maxes out around 187ish.
And irrespective of media narrative atleast the older ones were safe. Attached below link to image of our accident in 2016 in a vw vento, bad judgement (at 120ish kph) hit the divider car rolled over 3 times to other lane, all passengers alive. https://imageupload.io/4UbsWUv71AAVOoj
We have as family have had vw cars since 2011, they're not really that horrible as much as people are made to believe, plus service is at 15000km intervals, transmission doesn't overheats on continuous spirited driving.
Had a 2017 1.2L highline plus vento and that thing’s pull is unbelievable. Some 500L bootspace, and posh interiors. Crazy thing is that I got it for 8.5L with a 35k odo.
Yeah we also currently have similar 2017 highline plus vento, genuinely a great car for the price,
also another one main difference vs the rest of segment as told by vw guys is these cars have laser welded roof for better integrity during load.
As this will be my first car i just need to understand ground reality about what things we need to keep in mind. Ps : Price range 4-6L. Also please suggest which car will be best suit in this range
Guys, I have a monthly salary of 40000 rs(8 years in IT) and I am thinking about a switch and learning for it. My husband joined a company on Feb 5 and his monthly expected salary is around 65000 rs(5 years in fincrime). We have around 5...
I have just shifted from Bengaluru to Gurgaon for a new opportunity. Apart from all the cultural differences, the biggest thing I have noticed in Delhi-NCR is the huge presence of 4 wheelers on roads.
