Appraisal season in media

Can someone tell me how have appraisals been so far in media sector? I’m not hearing good stuff this season

With the ongoing appraisal season what kind of hikes are you guys are anticipating / getting?

Hi everyone, I am somebody who hasn't interviewed in a while and wanted to get a quick pulse about how the job market is right now. Looking to hear about personal anecdotes. What has your experience been like in today's market compared to 2021? For people who got a huge hike in 2021, how have your appraisals been like? Are you facing issues while switching? Personally, I haven't been getting random emails from recruiters like I used to get back in 2020/21. Have you also seen a slowdown? For people who have not been looking out, how have appraisals been for you this year compared to 2021 when attrition was quite high?

It's like going back to COVID days. We got email that due to current situation there will not be any increment this year. What about your company? How is the situation?

How much % are you expecting this time? Last time I got scammed by bs reasons and got single digit. What should I do if get to hear these again? Also let me tell you this, along with BS reasons they tend to give ESOPs 🤦🏾

How was your appraisal at Microsoft this year? Most places have not given any hikes. And MS also announced no hikes this year. For those in Microsoft, did you get any monetary benefit this year?

I have been working for my current employer for over 2 years as PM. Most of the employees haven't received any formal appraisal over the years. The company is going through some of the financial stress till last Dec. But it seems things are getting back in order as no more salary delays at my level. I have heard and confirmed that few have received salary hikes either due to retention or other ways. Searching for a job over the past 1 year but unable to land any yet. Its getting difficult to manage financially living on rent in mumbai, committing everyday to office and all. HOW COULD I CONVINCE CEO OR WHAT SHOULD I WRITE THEM TO PURSUE THIS. PLS HELPPPP....🥺

Are appraisals happening in startups this year ? What is the approx % of increment all of you have seen ?

I have been working at EY for the past 3 years (joined after the pandemic) and there's been suddenly a shift in their policies. Last FY has been really slow for the company and now they're doing all in their power to make people leave the company. For example, compliance about things which no one was bothered a single bit in the past 2 years has suddenly become an issue at every possible level. Be it to being in office twice a week or even missing to fill out your timesheets. There have been no replacements for everyone who's left the company in the last 6 months. At the start it seemed like they valued talent but all rules and ethics seem to be thrown out of the room this year. Attrition is the mantra. With the upcoming appraisal season there are minimalistic hopes from the company. And all of the above seems like an effort to have excuses for poor ratings. All of this seems like a tactic to make you quit yourself before they start firing ! I plan to leave this place ASAP

Employees working in FAANG - What's does the annual appraisal look like for weak/mid/top performers? Also, I'm more interested in the appraisal figures without promotion. But, feel free to share promotion numbers as well.
