Need genuine advice on switching

Context: almost 5 YOE, BTech + MBA both from tier 3. Current CTC 32LPA including variable and retention bonus (24.3 is fixed). I work as an APM in a pharma consulting organisation (which also has a SaaS platform) in Pune.

Recently Got an offer from a tier 1 consulting company (not MBB but close enough) for a pretty new role of product + project management for one of their saas tools. The offer is 20% hike on my fixed + variable upto 15% + 2L JB. And it’s in Mumbai which is my hometown. I tried negotiating but the hiring manager said this is the best offer they can give.

The job role will require infrequent travel to client locations and overall seems interesting.

I’m in a dilemma if I should accept or not because the brand is infinitely better than my current organisation and will open up exit opportunities to MBB. On the other hand my professional growth in current organisation seems stagnant as there is not a lot to learn here but monetary growth has been good. (10-15% hikes every year).

What is the issue? I can't see a reason not to accept the other offer

What the fuck are you waiting for then? If you have thought about it, then go for it!

I think I’m being lowballed with the offer…it’s hardly any increase if I consider overall CTC

Then tell them you got retained in your current org for this pay if you are okay with whatever pay you are getting here

Your fixed is increasing to 31L + you get variable pay. And don't forget the hikes in consulting companies are pretty good too.

So I don't know why you think you are being lowballed or why you haven't accepted the offer yet?

Also do first ask about the working hours for product people in consulting companies. If it's the same as analysts/associate then you might need to think deeply about what you want.

Good offer. The perks of living in hometown are great. Accept it, work and yes as someone else said in this thread, Mumbai mein flat lo and emi bharna chalu karo

Tier 1 but not MBB so wyman/booz/Kearney i guess. Seems like a solid offer. Consulting firms usually don't negotiate on salary much. You can exit to MBB but product roles are still limited in consulting.
