Confused whether to switch.

Hi I'm currently working on lending side in an Indian Bank. I got offer with a 60% hike in CTC( 30% in fixed). Should I take it as I'm sceptical since the new company is small and not as established. The new role is with the founder however it does not seem to be structured. my current prospects in the current company are limited to a 15 % appraisal and maybe a promotion

Take the risk. It’s always worth it

Logical Perspective If you stay in the current organisation with the current payscale, you are likely to get 15% increase, as you mentioned. And that too will take time from now. No motovation, no new tasks, no exposure

If you take chance to switch, you get better pay, a chance to reevaluate your interests, explore new things, work closely with Cofounders(which is a great learning). Worst case, if the company shuts, or XYZ situation happens, you can settle in 10-15% less pay. Stability is something I would not suggest you.

Hi thanks. Thinking of more from a calculated risk perspective. Similar opportunity can prop up in 3-4 months which maybe is less risky

True. Makes sense.
Also take into account that there’s no end of getting better things. Opt for this if you feel much secure about it as there are many things to be considered. Current financial backup, family dependency, career growth and others. I just shared a generalised perspective.I wish you land up the best offer! All the best
